The vehicle reports use the NHTSA datasets and APIs, including the published complaint and recall bulk files. NHTSA is the primary source. Auto Recall Watch is an independent publisher and is not affiliated with NHTSA or vehicle manufacturers.

Consumer complaints are unverified submissions. Bulk files can differ from live NHTSA vehicle pages. Source files contain U.S. vehicle records; international recall coverage is not included. Owner narratives are attributed to their ODI numbers and should not be treated as independently confirmed findings.

News editions are refreshed daily from the official IIHS RSS feed and the dated NHTSA recall snapshot. Headlines and short excerpts link to the publisher; recall updates link to the official campaign. Each edition separates its collection date from each item’s publication date and displays source availability. No paywalled articles are scraped. Daily facts cite NHTSA, IIHS or Volvo Cars; manufacturer history is attributed to the manufacturer.
