TAKATA RECALL -- I FIRST LEARNED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS PART OF THE TAKATA RECALL IN MARCH 2016, WHEN I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR REGULAR SERVICE. AT THAT TIME, THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THEY DID NOT INSTRUCT ME TO STOP DRIVING THE CAR, WARN ME OF THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE RECALL, OR OFFER ME A RENTAL. INSTEAD, I DROVE THE CAR UNTIL EARLY MAY, AND THEN CALLED TO CHECK ON THE STATUS OF PARTS. Rear windshield shattered while parked in my drive way. Vehicle was not being driven. I have read several reports of this happening to other Acura rdx. I have contacted the dealership and Acura who have both told me I need to pay out of pocket to get this fixed. This is an Acura problem and Acura was unable to help. I should not be responsible for getting this fixed as vehicle was in driveway when this happened. I have been without a vehicle since this happened on 12/24. I'm very unsatisfied with Acura.

I reported this to Acura within 1 week, and then reported it to DOT the next week. I own one of the first 2021 s made, so i didn’t see a lot of feedback. Now after a …

Driver side mirror is vibrating while driving- more noticeable at speeds above 35 mph. Took into the dealer for replacement. After ride with tech, tech confirmed issue. Dealer replaced driver side mirror but still shakes/vibrates while driving. Vibration causes distortion of vehicles and other surrounding items in driver side mirror. Also, vibration causes distraction to driver.

On a new ACURA RDX with 10,771 miles my wife was charged $315 dollars by the local ACURA dealer for "differential service" because "sub code 6" was on the maintenance minder. I believe this is a scam or any differential service should be under warranty. I pursued the complaint with HONDA extensively on the phone and just now was called back by HONDA and told that is regular maintenance and is not covered by the new car warranty. No car that I have ever owned needed differential service after 5 months - this is a scam.

Prior to the 5,000 mile oil change, I experienced at least five transmission shifting issues and reported the problem to Bergstrom Service Department. They test drove it and found no issues at that time and could not repeat the shifting issues while I was there. You then have to pull over to the shoulder of the road and decelerate the engine until it will shift gears properly at a slower speed. Not only is there a flaw in the transmission but t…

This is only an option when there's no oncoming traffic. Vehicle Make/Model/Year: 2014 Acura RDX Component: Exterior Lighting – Headlights (Low Beam) Summary of the Problem: My wife drives a 2014 Acura RDX. A few years ago, she mentioned that the low beam headlights seemed unusually dim at night. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but after driving the vehicle myself more recently, I confirmed the issue, the low beams provide very poor visibility, making night driving hazardous. To address this, I replaced the bulbs with new ones, but it made no noticeable improvement. After researching online,…

I came close to striking certian low lining dividers, etc.... It is very well known That RDX around my build date Main headlight projector reflector burns out. I found out that Acura had a mandatory NHTSA recall to that era ILX for this same issue and Nissan has just settled a class action lawsuit for the same issue. The headlights were all manufactured by National Automotive Lighting (NAL). and the reflective coating inside the projector lens burns in time due to high lightbulb heat. When will this be recalled?

Low beam headlights do not reflect. I can barely see when driving at night due to the low beams. I replaced the bulbs with a high grade brand and restored the lenses to the housing unit and they are very clear. The Reflector or Housing is degraded so the bulbs do not shine bright enough. This is a serious safety issue. I almost hit a deer that I couldn’t see in my neighborhood. We have great street lighting and it was 7:50pm so not very dark.

The low-beam projector headlights in our 2014 Acura RDX have become extremely dim over time, which is making the car very unsafe to drive at night because we cannot see well enough. The dealer inspected them in 2024, and stated the dim lighting is due to oxidation of the interior projector lenses. The headlight reflector material has deteriorated causing headlight brightness to dim so much that they are not much brighter than the running lights. Makes night driving EXTREMELY dangerous. No warning lights. Has not cause me to crash yet, but have come close several times. At this point the car is essentially unusable at night. New bulbs don’t make a difference. Entire headlight assemblies must be replaced. Dealer claims this is not a safety issue. Cost to repair is >$2,000. Internet search shows this is a very common problem for this year …

The low beam headlights do not adequately illuminate the road. It has gotten progressively worse over the last 18-24 months and has gotten to the point that we can’t safely drive the vehicle unless we are able to use the high beams. When I was at the dealership for routine maintenance I asked about replacing the bulbs. I was told replacing the bulbs would not solve the issue and they did not feel right about charging me for something they knew would be a temporary at best solution. I can only assume the dealer/manufacturer inspect the lights a…

WITH PARTS STILL NOT AVAILABLE, THE DEALERSHIP THEN INSTRUCTED ME TO STOP DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND PUT ME IN A RENTAL. NOW, AFTER 2 MONTHS OF …
