MY CAR WOULD NOT START ONE MORNING. I COULD NOT GET IT OUT OF "ACCESSORY MODE" AND THAT MODE DRAINED THE BATTERY COMPLETELY. I ALSO SMELLED FUEL WHEN I TRIED TO HAVE IT JUMP STARTED AND IT RAN FOR 10 SECONDS THEN DIED. I HAD IT TOWED TO AN ACURA DEALER TO HAVE IT FIXED AND THEY CALLED TO TELL ME THAT THE PLASTIC FUEL LINE ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR HAD "MICROCRACKS" ALONG ITS ENTIRETY AND WAS LEAKING FUEL OUT OF THESE CRACKS. THEY SAID THAT THE FUEL LINE WAS NOT DAMAGED IN A DISCRETE LOCATION (I.E. FROM A ROCK OR OBJECT THAT HIT IT BUT THE E…

2015 ACURA RDX THE ACCELERATION IS VERY TOUCHY IN THAT SLIGHT ACCELERATOR PRESSURE GENERATES AN UNEXPECTED INCREASE IN SPEED. THE VEHICLE ALSO TENDS TO HESITATE WHEN ACCELERATING WHILE THE TRANSMISSION IS SIMULTANEOUSLY SHIFTING GEARS. *MW ALSO, WHEN BRAKING AND APPLYING SLIGHT YET CONSTANT PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE, THE BRAKES OFTEN GRABBED MORE ABRUPTLY. WHEN COASTING/SLOWING DOWN, THE TRANSMISSION HAD A NOTICEABLE DECELERATION WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS DOWN SHIFTING. THE FEEL WAS SIMILAR TO DOWN SHIFTING OF A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. IT WAS MORE NOT…

PUT MY CAR IN PARK IN DRIVEWAY WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING, STEPPED OUT OF MY VEHICLE AND IT STARTED MOVING FORWARD, HITTING THE GARAGE. THE CAR HIT THE GARAGE AND I TRIED TO PUSH IT BACKWARDS, IT MOVED BACKWARD AFTER HITTING THE GARAGE AND STARTED ROLLING AWAY FROM THE GARAGE. MY BABY WAS IN THE CAR, SO I GOT IN THE OPEN DOOR OF THE CAR AND ATTEMPTED TO MOVE THE GEAR SHIFT OUT OF P TOWARDS D, THINKING THIS WOULD HELP STOP THE CAR AS I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE PAD. THE VEHICLE STALLS OUT (LIMP MODE) WHEN ACCELERATING PAST 60 MPH. IT WILL NOT GO ABOVE 3000 RPMS. ONCE THAT HAPPENS, IT IS DIFFICULT TO ACCELERATE AT ALL, EVEN AT VERY LOW SPEEDS. I CAN PRESS THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND NOTHING HAPPENS. THE VEHICLE SHAKES CONSIDERABLY WHEN IDLE.

WHEN ACCELERATING OR BRAKING, THE CAR LURCHES FORWARD. IT OCCURS WHEN EVEN PRESSURE IS APPLIED AND IS MOST NOTICEABLE WHEN APPLYING BRAKES AND VEHICLE IS AT 1000 RPMS AND AROUND 20MPH. OFTEN THE DRIVER MUST PRESS HARD ON THE BRAKES IN ORDER TO COME TO COMPLETE STOP AND AVOID HITTING VEHICLE IN FRONT. THIS IS A RECURRING ISSUE. BRAKES WERE REPLACED AT 14,000 MILES IN 7/2016 BY DEALERSHIP AND OWNER FEELS BRAKES MAY HAVE PREMATURELY WORN DUE TO THE BRAKING ISSUE.

VEHICLE EXPERIENCED INTERMITTENT STARTING HESITATION, TOOK TO ACURA DEALER, DEALER DIAGNOSED LOW PRESSURE FROM FUEL PUMP (40 PSI VS. 55 PSI SPEC). HAD TO REPLACE FUEL PUMP, AND PAID FULL COST OUT OF POCKET. APPEARS ACURA FUEL PUMP ISSUE IS FOR YEARS PRIOR TO 2019, AND RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED IN SCOPE, AS MY ACURA RDX IS A 2015 AND ALSO HAD A FAULTY FUEL PUMP. My car is experiencing intermittent starting issues due to low fuel pressure from my fuel pump. I am able to start my car by cycling it into accessory mode and letting it set and pressure up before finally starting it. If I didn’t do this, I could eventually have issues with my starter. My mechanic informed me of a recall for Acura RDX models 2017-2019, my car is a 2015 BUT with the exact same fuel pump! Acura won’t release the sell of said pump because it is “currently under a recall”. The recall needs to be expanded to include earlier models …

Rear windshield shattered while parked in my drive way. Vehicle was not being driven. I have read several reports of this happening to other Acura rdx. I have contacted the dealership and Acura who have both told me I need to pay out of pocket to get this fixed. This is an Acura problem and Acura was unable to help. I should not be responsible for getting this fixed as vehicle was in driveway when this happened. I have been without a vehicle since this happened on 12/24. I'm very unsatisfied with Acura.

I reported this to Acura within 1 week, and then reported it to DOT the next week. I own one of the first 2021 s made, so i didn’t see a lot of feedback. Now after a …

Driver side mirror is vibrating while driving- more noticeable at speeds above 35 mph. Took into the dealer for replacement. After ride with tech, tech confirmed issue. Dealer replaced driver side mirror but still shakes/vibrates while driving. Vibration causes distortion of vehicles and other surrounding items in driver side mirror. Also, vibration causes distraction to driver.

On a new ACURA RDX with 10,771 miles my wife was charged $315 dollars by the local ACURA dealer for "differential service" because "sub code 6" was on the maintenance minder. I believe this is a scam or any differential service should be under warranty. I pursued the complaint with HONDA extensively on the phone and just now was called back by HONDA and told that is regular maintenance and is not covered by the new car warranty. No car that I have ever owned needed differential service after 5 months - this is a scam.

This is a huge safety issue, one that prevents us from driving it at night unless absolutely necessary, in which case we have to use the high beams. The 2014 Acura RDX was recalled for this …

Re: Safety Concerns with 2015 Acura RDX Engine. My vehicle has experienced multiple serious engine failures beginning December 8, 2023, when it suddenly lost power while driving with a flashing check engine light. Despite multiple repair attempts by McDaniel's Acura dealership (timing belt replacement, spark plugs, front cylinder head replacement, pulley replacements), the issues have persisted and worsened. I recently purchased this vehicle used, and just drove it at night for the first time. The low-beam headlights are extremely dim, to the point that it was difficult to tell if they were even turned on. This made it very difficult to drive in the dark, and I nearly went off the road as a result. The reflective chrome coating inside the projector bowls has degraded, delaminated, and burned away due to heat from halogen lightbulbs. This failure severely compromises nighttime driving safety. I am requesting that Acura correct this problem before I or someone else gets hurt. [XXX], Owner, Phone number [XXX]. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION A…

The sunroof spontaneously shattered while driving the car. No other vehicles were around and no debris caused the sunroof to shatter. Glass blew in to oncoming traffic and into the car while it was being operated, which posed a risk to myself and other drivers. Upon further investigation, this is a know issue by Honda/Acura and a class action lawsuit has been file, yet the company is unwilling to make repairs to effected cars. There were no warnings etc prior to the sunroof shattering. The car was taken directly to the dealership for repairs a…

The sunroof of the vehicle spontaneously shattered while driver was driving on I-5 South in Orange County, California. Driver’s safety was compromised due to the potential for glass to have entered the vehicle while vehicle was in motion. The safety of other motorists on the road was also compromised, as pieces of glass appear to have flown off the sunroof into traffic. The sudden shattering was also extremely loud and startling, which was also a safety hazard because driver could have panicked and lost control of vehicle. After calling to repo…

The current mileage on my odometer is 69,125. Over the past few weeks (last few hundred miles), I have noticed that my low beam headlights have become very dim and are continually getting dimmer. Having read MANY other complaints about this problem with this particular year model, I took my car to our local Acura dealership to be diagnosed. The findings were that the internal reflector has deteriorated and is not projecting light properly. It seems like the 2014 Acura RDX has a recall in place for this same issue but the 2015 does not. Without…

An electrical keyless part in the vehicle drains the battery causing it to stall wherever or whenever you are on the road. It has been confirmed by the dealer(Courtesy Acura) that the vehicle needs a new part that they are unable to manufacture in a timely manner. It has been almost a year since the incident, and Honda is still not supporting a product that was faulty the day the car rolled off the assembly line. I was told by a representative of Honda that my car, 2015 Acura RDX, is the only vehicle with that VIN number to have this probl…

AFTER DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND THEN SLOWING DOWN, A CHECK VSA SYSTEM, CHECK HILL START ASSIST SYSTEM, AND CHECK POWER STEERING LIGHT COMES ON THE DASH. SOMETIMES AFTER A RESTART THE LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON. SOMETIMES IT TAKES MULTIPLE DRIVES AND RESTARTS TO CLEAR THE LIGHT.
