EXACT SAME SITUATION OCCURED THE NEXT DAY ON THE HIGHWAY. ONLY THIS TIME I SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE FOR 30 SECONDS AND IT RESTARTED AND RESUMED FULL POWER. THE ALL-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE THAT CAME WITH ALL SEASON TIRES, WAS NOT DESIGNED TO KEEP THE WIPERS FROM ICING UP DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER. THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE DROPPED TO 26 DEGREES, AND THE DEFROST SYSTEM COULD NOT KEEP ICE FROM FORMING ON THE WIPER BLADES, CAUSING A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. ACURA HAS OTHER VEHICLES THAT HAVE A SAFETY SYSTEM TO KEEP ICE OFF THE WIPER BLADES, SO IT IS OBVIOUS THEIR ENGINEERS ARE AWARE OF THE PROBABILITY OF ICE ON WIPER BLADES. *TR

Rear windshield shattered while parked in my drive way. Vehicle was not being driven. I have read several reports of this happening to other Acura rdx. I have contacted the dealership and Acura who have both told me I need to pay out of pocket to get this fixed. This is an Acura problem and Acura was unable to help. I should not be responsible for getting this fixed as vehicle was in driveway when this happened. I have been without a vehicle since this happened on 12/24. I'm very unsatisfied with Acura.

Driver side mirror is vibrating while driving- more noticeable at speeds above 35 mph. Took into the dealer for replacement. After ride with tech, tech confirmed issue. Dealer replaced driver side mirror but still shakes/vibrates while driving. Vibration causes distortion of vehicles and other surrounding items in driver side mirror. Also, vibration causes distraction to driver.

On a new ACURA RDX with 10,771 miles my wife was charged $315 dollars by the local ACURA dealer for "differential service" because "sub code 6" was on the maintenance minder. I believe this is a scam or any differential service should be under warranty. I pursued the complaint with HONDA extensively on the phone and just now was called back by HONDA and told that is regular maintenance and is not covered by the new car warranty. No car that I have ever owned needed differential service after 5 months - this is a scam.

On two occasions now my vehicle was parked at the train station and I have returned to the back window being cracked. The first time (11/21) when I shut the rear passenger door I heard the glass crack. There was a small hole near the bottom center which quickly expanded as doors were closed. The second time (8/22) I walked up to my vehicle and there was a large hole in the rear window which looked exactly the same. Both times glass was also broken around the edges. We are confident it is not vandalism due to the fact that the vehicle was p…

What happened to my 2020 Acura RDX was the rear window randomly broke after closing the driver door (this happened on Tuesday, [XXX]). I was doing some research and it seems as if maybe this had something to do with the electrical defrosters on the rear window. I even talked with my dealership (Highland Park, IL "Acura") and they made it sound like they've "never heard of this happening." I sent the dealer a picture of my vehicle and even sent them the articles that I found on this issue, and got no responses. They proceeded to think I wanted t…

I immediately called my local Acura dealership where the vehicle was purchased (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ) and left a voice message. They never returned my call. My RDX experienced a water-intrusion failure involving the panoramic sunroof drainage system and associated electrical components. An authorized Acura dealer diagnosed the right-front sunroof drain as backed up/overflowing, allowing water to reach the Body Control Module (BCM/Multiplex Control Unit). ON 7/22/2020, I WAS ENTERING THE MASS PIKE FROM I-495 OUTSIDE OF BOSTON. I ACCELERATED TO GET AROUND A BOX TRUCK AND SUDDENLY THE ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AND THE CAR STARTED TO LOSE POWER. NO MATTER HOW MUCH I STEPPED ON THE GAS, THE CAR KEPT LOSING SPEED. THANKFULLY, I WAS NEAR A REST STOP AND WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SHOULDER (FROM THE MIDDLE LANE) AND HAD ENOUGH MOMENTUM TO GET THE CAR IN THE PARKING LOT. THANK GOODNESS IT WAS NIGHTTIME AND WITH COVID, THERE AREN'T AS MANY CARS ON THE ROAD. THIS COULD HAVE ENDED VERY BADLY FOR MY CH…

CAR LOST ALL ACCELERATION AND WENT INTO LIMP MODE ATTEMPTING TO OVERTAKE SOMEONE ON THE FREEWAY, ACCELERATING FROM 60 TO 70 MPH (IN A 70). I HAD TO NAVIGATE FROM LEFT LANE TO RIGHT SHOULDER ACROSS 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC. TERRIFYING. CAR WAS REMEDIED AFTER TURNING OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES. OF NOTE, THIS WAS A LONG (3+ HOUR) TRIP IN THE RAIN. A QUICK SEARCH REVEALED A TON OF OTHER ACURA OWNERS WITH A SIMILAR ISSUE' NOTING SPECIFICALLY THAT IT DOESN'T GENERATE AN ERROR CODE THATS STORED THAT HONDA/ACURA CAN USE TO TROUBLESHOOT. MY CAR WAS CPO, UNDE…

11/6/21: Mid way home from a trip from Washington to Connecticut on the New Jersey turnpike in the left-hand lane the car lost all ability to accelerate. Concurrently the engine like came on and multiple warning signals came on regarding traction control, breaking, and steering. One can imagine how unsettling that could be but at that moment. Being in the left lane it was apparent I needed to get off the road. With cars traveling at 65+ mph and my car decelerating continuously changing lanes was nearly catastrophic and the last lane I needed t…

Upon rapid acceleration, pushing the gas pedal down, the engine light started blinking and the car went into limp mode losing all power. This was a serious concern because we had just got off the interstate and if we had been full speed attempting to pass a vehicle, we could have been in a serious accident due to failure of power.

I was passing another vehicle around 45mph when I had a loss of power in acceleration. Acceleration was limp went down to 10mph engine light came on. I had to pull off road. Shut car off then restarted. Engine light went off. But acceleration is weak. Unable to maneuver away from an emergency situation if need to. Dangerous to drive it like this. I will take it to dealership but know they' never find any issues!

WHEN ACCELERATING ON THE EXPRESSWAY, THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST PROPULSION WITHOUT WARNING. THE CAR WOULD NOT MAINTAIN A SPEED OR ACCELERATE. AFTER THE CAR STARTED TO SLOW DOWN, I HAD TO COAST TO THE SHOULDER OF THE EXPRESSWAY AND POWER CYCLE THE CAR. AFTER RESTARTING THE ENGINE AND TWO ATTEMPTS, THE CAR WOULD STILL NOT ACCELERATE.

THE VEHICLE THEN REFUSED TO ACCELERATE AND I HAD TO DANGEROUSLY GLIDE OFF THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT POWER AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED. EVERY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. FROM THE DAY I TOOK DELIVERY OF MY 2020 RDX ADVANCE IN AUGUST, I'VE BEEN COMPLETELY CRAZY ABOUT IT. NOW, HOWEVER, I'M FEELING SAD AND DISILLUSIONED, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, I DON'T FEEL 100% SAFE DRIVING IT. RECENTLY, AFTER SPENDING A FEW WEEKS IN GEORGIA, WE WERE DRIVING BACK HOME TO NORTHERN VIRGINIA ON I-85N IN NORTH CAROLINA. IT WAS AND HAD BEEN RAINING STEADILY THE ENTIRE TRIP. On April 18, 2023 driving thru shopping center parking lot, WITHOUT WARNING car suddenly jerked right, accelerated, while brakes, steering wheel, gears locked. I was driving at 60 MPH on the Highway and the Service AWD light came on. The vehicle immediately lost all power and jerked and came to a sudden stop. And then when i tried to re apply power it was sluggish for about 30 seconds before i was able to get full power. I then pulled over to the side of the road and turned the vehicle on and off the error code disappeared. This happens at random times while driving the car and is extremely dangerous.

The dealer also identified a blocked right-rear sunroof drain that allowed water to reach the tuner…
