I was going around a curve at 20mph and all of a sudden my steering wheel locked up and so did my brakes and I ended up in a ditch. I took a picture of all the alerts that came up on the vehicle.

Owner report 11658740 · 2025-05-04 (May 4, 2025)

Twice now, with two brand new 2025 Acura RDX of mine the power steering failed while I was driving. My first new car was purchased in January 2025, I had 414 miles on the car when the power steering was lost and the car was pulling me in one direction. I struggled but managed to get the car to a safe location and waited to be towed to the dealer. The dealer was nice enough to order me another RDX which I received in March. The car had 435 miles on it when while I was driving the power steering failed and the car was extremely hard to stee…

Owner report 11660900 · 2025-05-14 (May 14, 2025)

As I was navigating a turn onto a highway on-ramp, the vehicle unexpectedly decelerated or attempted to brake autonomously, accompanied by a sudden loss of power steering assist. This created a hazardous situation, nearly causing a collision with the guardrail. After safely bringing the vehicle to a stop, the dashboard illuminated with numerous warning lights and messages such as: Electric Power Steering System Problem. Steering Assist Not Available. Do Not Drive. Brake System Problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer. L…

Owner report 11669601 · 2025-06-26 (June 26, 2025)

For the third time now, my steering has locked up and sent my 2025 Acura RDX into limp mode. It is a major safety concern because the car steering locks up and or tries to turn. The first time it occured I almost went into a field because the car was trying to turn right while in the middle of a LH corner at 55mph. The second time was on a country road at around 40-50mph with no shoulder, and this most recent time on a straight country road at 50mph. Two times it has been towed to the nearest dealer and Acura has made major component replac…

While driving my 2025 Acura RDX A-Spec Advance (approx. 5,000 miles) at about 40 mph through a light curve, the vehicle suddenly lost power steering mid-turn. The dash displayed: “Electric Power Steering System Problem. Steering Assist Not Available. Do Not Drive.” This was not just a loss of assist. The wheel felt like it was resisting input and was nearly impossible to turn, locking the car into an off-road path. I narrowly missed a curb and a large tree by inches, only avoiding collision by forcing the wheel with maximum effort while applyin…

On a new ACURA RDX with 10,771 miles my wife was charged $315 dollars by the local ACURA dealer for "differential service" because "sub code 6" was on the maintenance minder. I believe this is a scam or any differential service should be under warranty. I pursued the complaint with HONDA extensively on the phone and just now was called back by HONDA and told that is regular maintenance and is not covered by the new car warranty. No car that I have ever owned needed differential service after 5 months - this is a scam.

Prior to the 5,000 mile oil change, I experienced at least five transmission shifting issues and reported the problem to Bergstrom Service Department. They test drove it and found no issues at that time and could not repeat the shifting issues while I was there. From what I have observed, the engine will rev up to a high rpm but will not shift automatically. You then have to pull over to the shoulder of the road and decelerate the engine until it will shift gears properly at a slower speed. Not only is there a flaw in the transmission but t…

THE BRAKES MAKE A HIGH-PITCHED SQUEAL WHEN AT LOW SPEEDS WITH LIGHT PRESSURE ON THE BRAKES. MOSTLY OCCURS GOING DOWN A SLOPE(PARKING GARAGE), DOWN A DRIVEWAY, AND SOMETIMES RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING ON FLAT ROADS. THE BRAKES ON THE ACURA RDX CONTINUE TO SQUEAL AFTER BEING "FIXED" TWICE. IN THE DEALER-PERFORMED SERVICES, THE BRAKES WERE REPLACED AND THE ROTORS WERE RESURFACED. WHEN CONTACTING THE DEALER ABOUT THE ISSUE AGAIN, THE DEALER STATED THAT ACURA WAS WORKING ON A SOLUTION. I own the Acura RDX 2022 and from the very first week the front left brakes were making a rough contact noise when braking. I took to two different dealership and they said the grooves should wear and it may take sometime. I am at 3000 miles and still the same noise. Other brakes function properly. Also, now the weather dropping to 20 F the same front brakes makes a loud grinding / gurgling noise and goes away after warmed up. No TSB, no recalls and no solution. L…

While driving around a curve with the LKAS system engaged the steering wheel locked up causing me to move into the next lane. Many warning lights came on, e.g., Stop brake system malfunction. LKAS malfunction etc. My safety was compromised and I had to pull over and shut the car off. My car is currently at the dealer. They said the power steering mechanism malfunctioned and needs replacing. They had to order the parts.

Two issues with this brand new Acura RDX 2025: 1) Herky/Jerking brakes. Experienced this issue weeks after purchasing. Lots of vibration when applying brakes....happens often. Took car back to Acura dealership and they said brakes working as designed. 2) Very soft /no tension in brake pedal. This issue arose within last few months. Press on brake pedal and often it goes to floor panel. Very concerning.
