Recall history

6 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

22V174000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer | Electrical System

Reported: 2022-03-23 (March 23, 2022) · Model years: 2022

Alliance RV, LLC (Alliance RV) is recalling certain 2022 Paradigm, Valor, and Avenue travel trailers, equipped with a 50-amp shore power inlet. The power inlet lug bolts may have been manufactured with excessively hard metal, preventing them from being tightened properly and resulting in a loose wiring connection.

Consequence: Loose wiring can cause an electrical arc or short, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the power inlet, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 25, 2022. Owners may contact Alliance RV customer service at 1-574-218-7165.

Empty, fresh water tank fell through the underbelly of the avenue in June of 2023. This transpired as we were driving home from a trip. The fresh water tank along with framing, wiring and misc items were dragging behind the 5th wheel. The 5th wheel was dropped off to the dealer for repair in July 2023 and is not fixed as of today 3/7/2024. The dealer claims that they have been working with the manufacture on parts, etc... This occurred with no warning.

This is a safety concern regarding the emergency breakaway switch, to engage the electric brakes upon a hitch disconnect senerio. I understand the breakaway switch is to be powered directly from the onboard battery with no fuses or disconnects. I found my disconnect switch is powered through the AUX power connection of the 7 pin wire harness, and it is both fused and behind the disconnect switch.

The gray tank to the kitchen is sagging and will not appropriately empty. It appears to be falling out of the underbelly of the vehicle. The same is for the freshwater tank as well in the rear it appears to be coming down and is separating from the foam. It has a slight leak. The black tank in the front also appears to have a sag, however, is not leaking. I am aware that there are other models the same year made by alliance that also have been recalled. Maybe mine is just the first to have the issue begin? I saw the 2022 32RLS model on the rec…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
