Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

26V384000 · Equipment:Mechanical:Boom/Crane/Ladder:Critical Fasteners

Reported: 2026-06-11 (June 11, 2026) · Model years: 2024, 2025, 2026

Altec Industries (Altec) is recalling certain 2024-2026 AC Series Crane vehicles. The inside joints between the side plates and the base plates of the 26-foot insulating personnel jib (IJ26) may be missing welds.

Consequence: Missing welds can lead to platform joint failure due to fatigue or overload, resulting in the platform falling from the boom tip, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Altec will advise owners to inspect the IJ26 jib for missing welds. If the welds are missing, the jib should be taken out of service immediately. Altec will add the missing welds or provide a repair procedure and kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 23, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is MAB-3330.

26V170000 · Exterior Lighting

Reported: 2026-03-20 (March 20, 2026) · Model years: 2025

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2025 AC Series Crane and DT Series Digger Derrick vehicles. The harness intended to prevent Altec installed lighting from overloading the chassis lighting circuit was not installed, which may result in a loss of power to the body lighting or trailer lights.

Consequence: Loss of body lighting or trailer lights increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Altec will notify owners to inspect their vehicle for the harness. If the harness is missing, a repair kit will be provided, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 15, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3295.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.

Components reported together

Each cell counts unique complaints naming both components. Open a nonzero cell for examples.
