Recall history
3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
13V458000 · Equipment | Engine And Engine Cooling:Exhaust System
Reported: 2013-09-26 (September 26, 2013) · Model years: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013
Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain model year 2010-2013 AT200A, AT235, AT235P, AT30-G, AT35-G, AT37-G, AT40-G and AT237 Aerial Devices mounted on Ford Super Duty Chassis' equipped with 6.8L gas engines and Muncie FR67 power take offs (PTO). In the affected vehicles, oil may leak from the PTO pressure switch onto a thermal blanket covering the exhaust.
Consequence: Oil leaking onto the thermal blanket combined with heat from exhaust may result in an increased risk of fire.
Remedy: Altec will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected pressure switch and thermal blanket with the kit identified by Muncie, free of charge. The recall began on December 9, 2013. Consumerr's may contact Altec at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's recall number is CSN 583.
NHTSA campaign record ↗12V390000 · Suspension:Front:Springs:Torsion Bar
Reported: 2012-08-08 (August 8, 2012) · Model years: 2012
Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2012 Aerial Device vehicles built on a Navistar Terrastar chassis because the Altec-installed torsion bar increases the ride height of the front suspension, which when the vehicle hits bumps, may cause the vehicle to alter its steering direction.
Consequence: As the vehicle hits bumps, it may deviate from the intended line of travel, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Altec will notify owners, and will install an updated bracket and spring kit, free of charge. The safety recall began on August 27, 2012. Owners may contact Altec Industries at 1-877-462-5832.

Reported: 2022-06-30 (June 30, 2022) · Model years: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022
Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2016-2022 van mounted AT200A and AT30G vehicles. The ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet may not provide adequate circuit protection against an electrical overload condition.
Consequence: An overloaded electrical circuit can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Altec will install a new GFCI outlet with a circuit-breaker and new wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 29, 2022. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 205-991-7733. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 3008.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2021: 0 complaints · 2022: 0 complaints

| 2021 | 0 | 0 | 0 |

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2021 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
