We were driving home on the interstate when suddenly we got an “Electrical system malfunction. Safely stop vehicle!” notification. We pulled over to the shoulder and were able to restart the vehicle but the check engine light was on. We were able to get to the nearest exit when the error appeared again. This time as I was pulling over, the screen went blank and I completely lost power to the vehicle. Thankfully this occurred in a very remote area and there were not a lot of cars around. Owner report 11478016 · 2022-08-07 (August 7, 2022)

1. When parked on a slight incline, vehicle rolls forward (downhill) AFTER shifting from Park to Reverse. Dealership says this is normal, says car will roll forward up to 10 feel even when transmission is in reverse. Appears to be due to a design defect in the electronic transmission. 2. Windows will not open when outside temps are below 20 degrees. Dealership says they have no solution. This car has a bunch of other problems that Audi won’t address, but the above are clear safety issues. Thank you.

We have looked at so many Audi's, at other dealers, before this, and because of the pandemic they were very short on stock.. My last three SUV's always had all the safety equipment. The issue here is they didn't tell show us the window sticker and it was not a round.us about the missing safety equipment, We have had this vehicle about 6 months and it is VERY UNSAFE to drive. we have had several close calls, …

Once the car is programmed to open/close your garage door, the car must be running in order to use this feature. This means that you must start the car BEFORE opening the garage door when you want to pull out and likewise you need to close the garage door before turning off the motor when you pull into the garage. I consider this a safety defect. The garage door should always be open before you start the car and the car should be off before you close the door.

Brand new vehicle with less than 1000 miles. Whenever I take an exit from highyway vehicle's rear wheel slips and shakes. It shakes and slips when I change lanes in a curvy highway such as Hardy Toll Road in Houston. Happened several times. I am taking it to the dealer this week to have it checked out. I suspect that a recall may be needed here!

The issues all relate to Audi's "Pre-Sense" system. On several occasions the car has either pulled hard and caused me to swerve - apparently incorrectly sensing that I am veering out of my lane - or has stopped suddenly - apparently incorrectly sensing that I was about to hit (or be hit by) something. These incidents have happened on the freeway, narrow mountain roads and side streets. All of these incidents could have caused serious serious bodily injury or death to persons and/or damage to property. I have been in touch with Audi numerous tim…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Thank you.

A 2022 Audi Q5 PHEV abruptly stopped and displayed three warning lights on the dashboard (electrical system malfunction, drive system malfunction, and check engine light). Car was unable to move. Had the car abruptly stopped on a highway, a serious accident may have occurred. There were no prior warnings. After restarting the car several times, the malfunction messages disappeared and the check engine light stayed on. The driver drove it less than 5 miles to the dealership after contacting the dealership to provide advance notice of the car’s…

Accident occurred in the parking lot as I was trying to park, sudden unintended acceleration occurred that caused the car to hit the building. Neither front nor back airbags deployed, as well as the automatic emergency break of the collision safety system did not work or activated to stop the car. Both my wife and I were hospitalized. The Auto emergency system of the Audi Q5 is not reliable, and the need for recall.

With just 800 miles on the vehicle after only having had it for 3 weeks after purchase, we were on the highway at 11pm at night and the engine started violently shaking to the point that the vehicle was undriveable; the emergency warnings on the dashboard came on, and the more we accelerated the more the vehicle shook. The longer we drove it to get to an emergency exit, the more it started shaking. Within about 30-60 seconds the car became completely undriveable. We were told conflicting things from the Audi service center and their technician…

On June 1 2022, Driving at a speed of approx 20 MPH, the car brakes came on suddenly, 4 windows came down and the vehicle came to an abrupt halt in the middle of the road. A message came on to the effect that the electric system had failed. The vehicle was not driveable and was towed to the Audi Dealership (South Coast Audi, Santa Ana, CA) the same day. I was very concerned about this issue and so contacted both the dealership and Audi USA to request that it be investigated without delay given this issue could endanger lives or cause ser…

If this had happened at a place without a shoulder (ex a …

The issue here is they didn't tell show us the window sticker and it was not a round.us about the missing safety equipment, We have had this vehicle about 6 months and it is VERY UNSAFE to drive. we have had several close calls, …
