14V131000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine

Reported: 2014-03-19 (March 19, 2014) · Model years: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014

Autocar Industries, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 Xspotter vehicles manufactured November 23, 2009, through October 21, 2013, and equipped with Cummins Westport Model ISL G and ISX12 G engines. Condensation in the intake manifold may freeze during cold weather conditions and interfere with the proper operation of the intake manifold pressure sensor.

Consequence: The improper operation of the sensor could induce elevated exhaust temperatures or flames from the exhaust pipe, increasing the risk of a vehicle fire or burn injury to a person near the exhaust pipe.

Remedy: Cummins Inc. and Cummins Wesport Inc. will notify owners, and authorized Cummins service facilities will upload a new ECM calibration, free of charge. The recall began on April 12, 2014. 23V023000 · Parking Brake

Reported: 2023-01-23 (January 23, 2023) · Model years: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2012-2016 Xpert, 2010-2020 Xspotter, 2008-2020 Xpeditor, 2008-2010 WXLL and WX vehicles. A worn parking brake control valve can leak air into the vent line, creating excessive back pressure and causing the parking brake to release unexpectedly.

Consequence: The unexpected release of the parking brake may allow the vehicle to rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will remove the vent line and fitting from the valve, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 23, 2023. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACX-2023 ACTT-2301.

25V451000 · Equipment:Other:Labels

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2012-2025 ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. The tire inflation information label is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Consequence: Incorrect tire inflation information can result in under inflated tires, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Autocar will mail corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 29, 2025. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-2504.

15V281000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine

Reported: 2015-05-13 (May 13, 2015) · Model years: 2014, 2015, 2016

Autocar Industries, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Xpert and XSpotter vehicles manufactured September 24, 2013, to April 22, 2015, and equipped with certain Cummins Westport ISL G engines. Excessive engine crankcase pressures may cause the 90-degree elbow of the vent tube assembly to detach from the crankcase ventilation breather, possibly allowing engine oil to come into contact with hot surfaces.

Consequence: If engine oil comes into contact with a hot surface, there could be is an increased risk of a fire.

Remedy: Cummins will notify owners on behalf of Autocar, and Cummins service centers will administer the repairs which include securing the ends of the 90-degree elbow and reprogramming the electronic control module (ECM) with software that can adjust the engine output under misfire conditions to limit crankcase pressures. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on June 16, 2015. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-765-589-5499 or Cummins Inc. at 1-800-343-7357. 14V512000 · Fuel System, Diesel

Reported: 2014-08-20 (August 20, 2014) · Model years: 2015

Autocar Industries, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain model year 2015 Xspotter heavy duty trucks manufactured May 23, 2014, to June 13, 2014. The Cummins ISB or ISL engines in these vehicles may have been equipped with Fleetguard UFF-XT fuel filters, part number FF63009, whose filter shell may separate from the fuel filter nut plate causing the engine to stall without warning.

Consequence: If the engine stalls unexpectedly there is an increased risk of a crash.

Remedy: Cummins will notify owners for Autocar, and Cummins service centers will replace the fuel filter, free of charge. The recall began in August 2014. 16V723000 · Steering:Linkages

Reported: 2016-10-07 (October 7, 2016) · Model years: 2015, 2016, 2017

Autocar Industries, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain model year 2015-2017 Xspotter and Xpert vehicles manufactured March 2, 2015, to September 22, 2016. The castle nuts on the steering linkage assembly may not have been tightened properly.

Consequence: If the castle nuts were not properly tightened, the cotter pin could shear and the steering linkage assembly components could separate, resulting in the loss of steering and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Autocar will notify owners, and authorized Autocar service repair facilities will repair the vehicles, free of charge. The recall began on November 18, 2016. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is MDTT-1602.

19V922000 · Exterior Lighting:Headlights | Electrical System

Reported: 2019-12-27 (December 27, 2019) · Model years: 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Xspotter vehicles. The headlamp relay may disconnect from the fuse box, causing the headlights to shut off.

Consequence: Headlights failing can cause reduced visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Autocar will notify owners, and dealers will install a fuse box relay retainer, free of charge. Autocar issued owners an interim notification on February 24, 2020. 25V449000 · Service Brakes, Air:Supply:Reservoir/Tank

Reported: 2025-07-03 (July 3, 2025) · Model years: 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2015-2022 ACTT (Xspotter) and ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles. The air tanks have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Consequence: Insufficient air volume can reduce brake function, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace or add additional air tanks as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed August 29, 2025. Owners will receive a second notice once remedy parts become available, anticipated September 2026. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. 16V319000 · Suspension:Rear:Axle:Spindle

Reported: 2016-05-18 (May 18, 2016) · Model years: 2016, 2017

Autocar Industries, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Auto Xspotter and 2017 Autocar Xpert vehicles manufactured March 04, 2016, through April 21, 2016. The tab lock washers on the rear axle wheel ends may not have been properly bent over the outer spindle nut during assembly.

Consequence: If the spindle nuts loosen, the wheel assembly may separate from the rear axle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Autocar will notify owners and dealers will inspect the tab lock washers and remedy tabs where needed, free of charge. The recall began on June 30, 2016. Owners may contact Autocar's customer service at 1-765-489-5499. Autocar's number for this recall is MDTT-1601.

16V599000 · Steering:Column

Reported: 2016-08-15 (August 15, 2016) · Model years: 2016, 2017

Autocar Industries, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Xspotter vehicles manufactured August 3, 2015, to April 21, 2016. The steering column shaft weld may break causing a separation of the steering wheel from the steering system, creating a loss of steering ability.

Consequence: A loss of steering ability increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Autocar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the steering columns and replace them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on October 7, 2016. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-1601.

17V049000 · Interior Lighting

Reported: 2017-01-23 (January 23, 2017) · Model years: 2016, 2017

Autocar Industries, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Xspotter vehicles. These vehicles were manufactured without a dimmer switch to adjust the dash illumination brightness. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."

Consequence: Without a switch to adjust the dash illumination brightness, the dash lights may be too dim or too bright with either condition increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Autocar will notify owners and dealers will install a dimmer switch to adjust dash illumination, free of charge. The recall began on March 10, 2017. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-765-489-5499. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-1701.

17V534000 · Steering:Linkages:Tie Rod Assembly | Steering

Reported: 2017-08-29 (August 29, 2017) · Model years: 2016

Autocar Industries, LLC (Autocar Industries) is recalling certain 2016 Xpert, and Xspotter vehicles, equipped with certain Dana Spicer D-Series and E-Series steer axles. The castellated nut on the steer axles may not be properly torqued, allowing the tie rod to loosen.

Consequence: If the tie rod loosens, it may disconnect from the steering knuckle, causing a complete loss of steering and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Autocar Industries will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the torque of the castellated nut and tie rod, tightening it as necessary, free of charge. 19V923000 · Power Train:Automatic Transmission:Gear Position Indication (Prndl)

Reported: 2019-12-27 (December 27, 2019) · Model years: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Xspotter vehicles. Due to the placement of the shift pad, the shift pad may fail, and not display the transmission range or sequence. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence/Starter Interlock/Transmission Braking Effect."

Consequence: If the shift pad display fails, the operator will not know the transmission range or sequence information, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

18V558000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Pedals And Linkages

Reported: 2018-08-23 (August 23, 2018) · Model years: 2018, 2019

Autocar Industries, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Autocar Xspotter vehicles. The brake pedal mounting plate may be incorrectly welded, possibly resulting in the brake pedal disconnecting.

Consequence: If the brake pedal becomes disconnected, the brakes may not be able to be applied, increasing the risk of a crash.

Autocar, LLC. (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Legend, Xpeditor, and Xspotter trucks equipped with Sheppard Steering Gears. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly,which can cause the gear to fracture.

Consequence: A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 ACTT Xspotter vehicles. The fuel tank mounting straps may not be properly secured.

Consequence: An improperly secured fuel tank can separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023 ACX (Xpeditor) and ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. The steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.

Consequence: A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

24V819000 · Electrical System:Software | Vehicle Speed Control

Reported: 2024-12-09 (December 9, 2024) · Model years: 2023, 2024, 2025

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2025 ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. A software error may allow the vehicle to exceed the speed governor limit. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 136, "Electronic Stability Control Systems on Heavy Vehicles."

Consequence: Driving at speeds greater than 33 mph can result in a loss of handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the vehicle and drive motor software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 30, 2025. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-2402.

25V258000 · Electrical System:Alternator/Generator/Regulator | Electrical System:Wiring

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2024 ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. The alternator ground cable may be misrouted and contact the alternator positive stud, damaging the cable.

Consequence: A damaged cable can short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
