Entire car was bricked after a software update (03/2026.54). Even the gear could not be changed to neutral for placing on a tow truck. Nothing wrong with the batteries. After more than 12 hours, finally the engine powered on but the software failure notification sign would still not work, and car had to be towed to authorized service center for a clean software reinstall.

The backup camera at night is very dark and unsafe. I can barely see anything. It’s a major safety issue even though sensors can warn you, I almost ran over my neighbor while backing out of the garage. My wife has a 2025 X5 that does not have this issue at all. I see online forums where tons of people are complaining about the same issue, making it very unsafe.

Nuna had a major recall for their rava convertible car seats as your organization is aware of. However, there are two main issues that I'm having that Nuna has refused to address nor do they have a viable solution for. The first is that with the recall fix which was new material they sent out, the harness button is covered by Fabric and when the rava is in rear-facing mode it becomes almost impossible to reach the harness release button. Nuna recommended using the leg rest to address the issue, however, the issue does still persist. In a time o…

I was driving last night on the highway in a monster rainstorm in Long Island, NY. In a full monsoon the wipers stopped working stuck in the up position. I was fortunate to not get in a very serious accident as I was going 50mph with ZERO visibility. I was able to make it to the side of the road where i drove with my hazards to exit the highway and pull into a gas station. I could have been killed. I called BMW to have the car towed to the dealer as it was still raining and I was unable to drive. It was over 2 hours for the tow so I waited fo…

My 2025 BMW i4 has experienced two distinct but related tire safety issues involving abnormal wear and repeated structural failures. Issue 1: Extreme Accelerated Tire Wear The factory-installed tires on my new vehicle were fully worn out in approximately 4 months and ~5,000 miles. All four tires required replacement. This level of wear is far outside normal expectations, including for heavy EVs or performance summer tires, and indicates abnormal loading or alignment behavior. Issue 2: Repeated Structural Failures of Right Rear Tire After repl…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.

Components reported together

Each cell counts unique complaints naming both components. Open a nonzero cell for examples.
