TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 BMW R1200 GS ADVENTURE MOTORCYCLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF FUEL. THE FUEL INDICATOR DISPLAYED THREE QUARTERS OF A TANK; HOWEVER, THE FUEL INDICATOR NEVER DISPLAYED THAT IT WAS LOW. THE CONTACT DROVE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND ADDED GASOLINE TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO REPLACED THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,100 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,250.
