Recall history
3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
22V601000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer:Lpg Systems:Lines And Fittings
Reported: 2022-08-09 (August 9, 2022) · Model years: 2021, 2022
Bowlus Road Chief LLC (Bowlus) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Terra Firma and Endless Highways Performance Edition trailers. The service valves on the LPG tanks may be improperly connected, which can cause a propane leak.
Consequence: A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the service valves, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 16, 2022. Owners may contact Bowlus' customer service at 1-805-366-6523. Bowlus's number for this recall is REGO-MANCHESTER.
NHTSA campaign record ↗22V342000 · Equipment:Appliance:Oven/Stove/Cooktop
Reported: 2022-05-16 (May 16, 2022) · Model years: 2022
Bowlus Road Chief LLC (Bowlus) is recalling certain 2022 Endless Highways travel trailers, equipped with 2-burner cooktops. The burner control valves may become damaged, causing a gas leak.
Consequence: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the cooktops, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed in May 25, 2022. Owners may contact Bowlus customer service at 1-805-436-5855.
NHTSA campaign record ↗25V417000 · Equipment:Other:Owners/Service/Other Manual
Reported: 2025-06-27 (June 27, 2025) · Model years: 2022, 2023, 2025
Bowlus Road Chief LLC (Bowlus) is recalling certain 2022-2023, 2025 Endless Highways, 2024-2025 Volterra, 2024 Terra Firma, and 2025 Rivet trailers equipped with an elongated hitch. The owners manual does not include instructions to retighten the two hitch bolts in the maintenance schedule.
Consequence: Without regular tightening, the hitch bolts can loosen, allowing the top and bottom of the hitch to separate from each other, which could create a hazard and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Bowlus will provide a supplement to the owners manual. Dealers will inspect, replace, and tighten the hitch bolts, as necessary. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 1, 2025. Owners may contact Bowlus' customer service at [email protected].

Problems by model year
Model-wide comparison of the eight most reported components across the model. Cells show counts and shares within each model year. Open a cell for source examples.

Darker cells indicate a larger share of submitted complaints. Components overlap. This measures complaint composition, not failure probability.
Failure mileage by component
Median and middle 50% of usable owner-reported mileages. Ranges require at least five records.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2022: 0 complaints · 2023: 0 complaints

| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
