The 12 volt battery of my 2023 Lyriq died even though the main battery was at 79% charge. The car had sat unused for three days. The 12 volt battery controls the opening of doors, charging ports, and all other accessories. I was effectively locked out of my car without warning. The only way in the car is by using the key in the keyfob and crawling through the trunk. GM has known about this issue, but has not informed owners that this could happen and what to do. The infotainment screen automatically adjusts its brightness based on readings from the ambient light sensor. However, during dusk and dawn, while conditions still appear relatively bright to the human eye, the sensor interprets the light levels as low and significantly dims the screen. As a result, the display can become so dark that it is nearly unreadable. This issue occurs even when the brightness control wheel is set to its maximum setting. The light sensor overrides the manual brightness adjustment, and the control wheel can only further…

The vehicle initially had a windshield manufacturing defect according to Cadillac Service Center which allowed plenty of water to go inside the vehicle during heavy rain. Low beam headlights work appropriately for 5 or so minutes before "drooping" or "sagging" so that they only illuminate one car length or so in front of the vehicle. Upon shutting off and restarting the vehicle, the lights return to correct illumination. However, they somehow droop again and within 5-10 minutes, it is not safe to drive the vehicle on low-beam headlights. It is the equivalent of having only fog lights on. There is a problem with the dashboard lighting. It is very dim and hard to read the dash to choose and view options and screen in general. I noticed this the day I picked up the new car. The dealer said there was nothing he could do. I contacted Cadillac and was told to go back to dealer and have him make a TAC call with GM for adjustment. They did this and said it met there specs. The automatic collision system braking is engaging when the vehicle is in reverse and while it is raining. This occurs multiple times while trying to back the vehicle up during rain. This is dangerous for the passengers since they are abruptly thrown backwards without warning. The gauge cluster/infotainment screen dims automatically when the light sensor on the dash senses the environment has gotten darker. The problem is that this happens extremely early at dusk/dark hours when it's still fairly bright outside, and the brightness of the screen is too dim to see things clearly. Also, once this automatic dimming happens, there is no way to turn the brightness back up. This feature also CANNOT be disabled in the settings anywhere. Manufacturer has replaced and recalibrated headlights on 2 occasions however they will not maintain aim on road. This is consistent and as of now besides the repairs performed they do not know how to rectify this. Additionally in the rain or moving from a shadow to sunlight the rear cross traffic alert will trigger if enabled on vehicle causing emergency braking for no reason. it will continue to happen until turned off and car restarted. The car has been towed on 3 occasions in the first 4000 miles for complete loss of power. Dealer soluti…

They believe it is from an installation of an over the air update stalling, bu…

1) The car locked owners out and disabled any authorization from any of the owners key fob. It is missing features. 2) It is missing the rearview mirror camera. 3) Also, it states there is supposed to be a key entry next to the rear camera on the liftgate door, it is not there, there is just a hole.

Cadillac Lyriq Brake System failed, two type of brakes failed. One pedal driving automatically turned off, stopped working and normal breaking system stopped working, once breaks pressed it felt super hard like a ton of pressure/air was going through and brakes didn't work. Dash Board showed signs of: small car swerving sign, ABS sign, Brake sign with two cars crashing and an alert saying "Brake System Failure" This almost caused a multiple car crash. Dealer has the car and no detail give as of now. No police, insurance involved No prior issue…

I was in a left hand turn lane. When I started to make the turn my vehicle lurched and stopped. I tried several times to go and this behavior repeated. Onstar called me (or I called them). They called 911 for me and a fire truck was dispatched to help me. I was in the intersection and afraid to try anything else until the fire truck arrived to control the traffic so I could be moved from the intersection. When they arrived I was able to put the vehicle in drive and drive it out of the intersection and then home. When I got home, I had Onstar ru…
