VSS code is triggered with three codes making the Ryker go into limp mode. It started happening when I was going around turns (left) then eventually it locked me out of full performance. YAW/SAS C0063 and/or C0052 and *C006C) I hit a guard rail as it jolted me. Turns out there are many that have had the same problem when noted threw BRP dealers. So this is a known problem with the pitman steering arm bushings. Mine is most defiantly loose.

On left hand turns only never right turns, if you are going over 30 mph the ABS/Stability controls turns on and make the wheels wobble and slows it down in the turn. This abrupt slow down cause vehicles behind me to slam on breaks because there is no brake lights warning them of the slow down. I took it to a shop and after a month in the shop, they replaced the yaw rate sensor which did not fix the issue. I have put the bike in the garage for a month now because it is too dangerous to drive until this issue is solved.

Common problem amongst Can Am Ryker riders. When making a sweeping left turn between 20-40 mph, the right front wheel will brake/accelerate on it's own and the bike will jerk. The VSS Vehicle stability system on the right tire goes on at speeds of 30 MPH or more while making a sweeping left hand turn. Like on a canyon, highway or street. This causes the vehicle to apply brake pressure only to the the right tire and then pulls the vehicle further to the right side while makeing a left turn. This can cause you to drift uncontrollably into the right hand lane, or into a gaurd rail or into another moving vehicle. This has happened numerous times. This is also related the the back tire getting very wobbly at the same time…

I got a VSS fault code (C0063) that sent my Ryker into a limp home mode which greatly reduced the speed at which I could travel. This code indicates a problem reported from the yaw sensor. Had I been on an Interstate highway, this could have possibly been a serious situation. I was about 10 miles from home but made it home safely. When entering a left hand turn at moderate speed, the vehicle will go into a lurching, bucking, hesitation period, usually when under slight or moderate acceleration. This results in an uncontrolled wobble that will eventually smooth out but can also result in a sudden burst of power that tends to rapidly propel the vehicle further to the left unless the throttle is quickly relaxed. Hard to describe, but the sensation feels like you are being “squirted” out of the turn. I first noticed this barely a month after I took possession of the machine…

Common problem amongst Can Am Ryker riders. When making a sweeping left turn between 20-40 mph, the right front wheel will brake/accelerate on it's own and the bike will jerk. When making a left hand turn, at any speed over 35mph, the rear of the bike wobbles, and the front tires, at least one if not both begin to automatically brake. I’ve researched and found that so many people reported it to NHTSA that you have an article, 137209. While driving at speeds around or above 20 mph when turning left the ABS or braking system begins activating causing a very serious hazard. This does not happen at any speeds when turning right. This has been reported by numerous Ryker owners. I have brought it into the shop and they are not able to locate or resolve the issue. This is an extremely dangerous situation as the biker will lose control at high speeds and potential force the driver off road or into another lane. This happens all the time and is constantly happening.

The Stability Control System engages on low speed left turns when it is not required. It does not engage on right turns at similar speed and sharpness of corner. Power is cut to the rear wheel and the right brake engages, causing a "wobble", unsteady, and jumping sensation. This creates unease and the sense of losing control. I've been told this is a common problem that the YAW sensor and sas system is faulting. please get this fixed as it is dangerous.

Vehicle goes into VSS mode when making left hand turnes at speeds of 30 MPH or more. Also cause the vehicle to fishtail. This cause the vehicle to swerve into the lane to the right while making the left turn. Breaking and shaking is automatically applied to the right tire while this is happening.

This motorcycle continues to go into "Limp Mode". This has happened now two times with no explanation from the manufacture as to why. The bike will lose engine power and immediately drop to speeds no higher than 55mph. This was advised to dealer and they were very familiar with this, and initially told me the repairs were denied by BRP, but that they covered the issue and fixed it. Less than 1 week later, the same thing happened. The check engine light comes on and the gauges read VSS Fault, Limp Mode. This is very unsafe as there is no …
