I called GM and they checked the brakes could not find any problem. I ask if they checked the computer but they didn't know. the Equinox only had 170 miles on it. That is my problem.

While four wheel down towing my 2023 Equinox behind my motorhome, under certain road conditions, the tires can be heard squealing and burnt rubber can be seen and smelt. I put a camera in the car to record the event and during the described events the steering wheel can be seen shaking violently. This type of event occurs consistently on cloverleaf type on and off ramps and other roads that have somewhat tight turns that are banked. The 2023 Equinox owner's manual states that the Equinox can be flat towed behind a motorhome with all four wheels on the ground. I bought the vehicle based on this representation for towing behind our motorhome. When towing thorough turns at certain speeds and of certain radius and duration, the Equinox tires make a loud screeching noise and the smell of burning rubber is noticed. This condition begins shortly after the Equinox enters the turn and ends once the Equinox completes the turn. A video camera inside the Equinox shows the steering whe…

I purchased a brand new 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Sport Utility on 8/22/2025. 4 weeks later the front end started leaking oil. It has been back to the dealership 4 times for repairs, including replacing the engine. After all these attempts to fix the oil leak it continues to leak oil and we are waiting for the dealer to pick it up again. We are not sure if it is safe to drive but the dealer says to keep driving it. No warning lamps or system messages were triggered during this entire time.

High pressure fuel pump failed while driving causing a sudden loss in power. Vehicle went into limp mode and would not exceed 5 mph. Check engine light and dash warning illuminated. Vehicle had to be towed. Dealer could then not get vehicle to even start. The sudden loss of power in a traffic situation would be dangerous with the potential for another vehicle to collide from the rear due to the sudden deceleration with no brake lights.

Within the past two months, I have experienced multiple significant mechanical failures that raise serious concerns about the reliability and safety of this vehicle. First, the air conditioning compressor failed at approximately 55,000 miles. This was an unexpected and costly repair for a vehicle that is only two years old and has been properly maintained. Shortly thereafter, the fuel pump failed. I became aware there was a recall related to the fuel system; however, when the dealership ran my VIN, it did not populate under the recall campaig…
