My 2021 Chevrolet express van with an 8L90 transmission has failed after only 80k miles, willing to have it inspected. Check engine codes show P0700 and P2714 on 02/08/25. No prior warning lamps. This product has put my safety at risk due to overheating and making the vehicle go into limp mode while on public roadways. The product is known to fail for trucks alike with the same transmission but has yet to be reported for the Chevrolet express. Has only been confirmed via OBDii scanner from parts shop.

MY COMPANY JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED DOZENS OF 2017 CHEVY EXPRESS VANS. ONE OF THESE NEW VANS (16 MILES ON ODOMETER) EXPERIENCED A FAULTY BRAKE BOOSTER MECHANICAL ISSUE WHICH CAUSED THE BRAKES TO ENGAGE WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL. THE DESIGN OF THE BRAKE BOOSTER INTEGRATION WITH THE POWER STEERING PUMP WAS PART OF THE PROBLEM. THIS IS POTENTIALLY FATAL DESIGN FLAW IF YOU MANUFACTURE A VEHICLE THAT WOULD ENGAGE THE BRAKES JUST BY TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL.

Bought this van new & when traveling down a hill, brake assist helps slow up the van. WE'VE HAD 4 INSTANCES OF "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, WITH NO PRIOR WARNING OF ISSUE ON THE DASH DISPLAY. I BELIEVE THIS IS DUE TO AN ISSUE WITH THE DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER SOOT LOAD TRACKING. THE FIRST 3 OCCURRED ON RURAL HIGHWAY AND THE 4TH ON A LOCAL HIGHWAY AT SPEED. THE POWER REDUCTION IS IMMEDIATE AND SEVERE ENOUGH THAT THE VEHICLE RAPIDLY LOSES SPEED AND CANNOT KEEP UP WITH TRAFFIC. Vehicle is upfitted as a school bus. Forward fuel tank strap failed in operation. Our company operates more than 100 of these vehicles and we experience a failure of fuel tank straps at a rate of about one vehicle per month. If the 2nd strap would also fail the gasoline tank would become dislodged and present a fire hazard. This is even more critical as these vehicles are carrying students as a school bus. We perform visual inspections of the straps at 6 month intervals (per Pennsylvania these vehicles are subject to Semi-Annual State Inspecti…

The vehicle is experiencing an under-chassis manufacturing wiring harness restriction (Connector X185) that was installed too tightly from the factory, dropping the 5-volt reference power circuit down to 0 volts under load. This intermittent electrical failure completely starves the fuel pump, causing the fuel loop pressure to drop to a dangerous 43.5 PSI while driving (GM factory specification is 55–100 PSI). This electrical breakdown simultaneously chokes the fuel tank vapor loops, causing the fuel tank pressure to spike to an extreme -1100 v…
