I JUST BOUGHT A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 64327 MILES ON IT. WHEN NORMAL DRIVING ON STREETS AND FREEWAYS WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC THE BRAKE SEEMS TO BE FINE BUT AS YOU SLOW DOWN OR DRIVE IN A PARKING LOT AND MANEUVER TO PARK IT THE BRAKES DON'T WANT TO STOP THE VEHICLE SEEMS LIKE THERE'S NO PRESSURE. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I GOT IT FROM TWICE AND THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT IT WAS THE ABS SYSTEM WHICH DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME

WHILE SLOWING DOWN FOR A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHT THE VEHICLE LOOSES POWER STEERING AND STABILITRAK WARNING COMES ON DASH, NOW TRUCK IS COMPLETELY CUTTING OFF WHILE STILL SLOWING DOWN. NO BRAKING ASSISTANCE OR POWER STEERING, IN ADDITION RADIO ALSO CUTS OFF. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO AVOID ACCIDENTS IT APPEARS AFTER TRUCK HAS BEEN DRIVING FOR ABOUT 5 TO 10 MIN.

TRANSMISSION SHIFTED INTO 4 WHEEL DRIVE ON IT'S OWN AS I WAS PARKED AND WOULDN'T SHIFT BACK TO 2 WHEEL DRIVE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT COULD BE THE ACTUATOR OR THE CONTROL MODULE OR BOTH AND THEY ARE A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM AND HAVE FIXED MORE THAN HE CAN COUNT. THIS IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE TO THE POINT HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THE ISSUE WAS JUST BY ME TELLING HIM IT SHIFTED ON ITS ON. THE SHIFT KNOB TO SHIFT FROM 4 WHEEL DRIVE TO 2 WHEEL DRIVE DOESN'T WORK WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I STARTED THE TRUCK AND IT SHIFTED BACK TO 2 WHEEL DRIVE A WEE…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
