Performed diagnostics and found P0300, P0304 and P0204 all relating to cylinder 4 misfire and injector issues on cylinder 4. Truck has just over 47,000 miles and may be related to the lifter issues that plague this engine design.

The fuel pump went out, left me stranded and was replaced The transmission went out and was replaced. The lifters in the engine were replaced. When will the engine recall be addressed/acted on? The "cure" to install heavier engine oil is a very bad "bandaid"....truly masks the problem. Maybe the Chevy CEO should return her 2024 $25mm bonus to help pay for the repairs.

As I stopped at a red light, I received a message on my instrument panel to “push state”. I noticed my RPMs were at 0 and my vehicle was in neutral. I attempted to shift into drive, but received the same message again. I already had my foot on the brake as I was stopped, so I pushed the start button. The vehicle began its normal startup sequent and my RPMs return to normal. I shifted into drive and was able to continue to where I was headed. At no time did I ever shift the vehicle into neutral or turn it off.

I purchase a brand new 2026 Silverado ZR2 with a 6.2 engine. A little over a week later at 511 miles it left me stranded on the side of the road. Towed it to the dealership and the dealership advised there was a misfire and cylinder number eight. However, they were unable to find a solution and had to contact GM engineers. I had to replace it with another new vehicle and lost money on the “trade”. Dealership only advised that “it needed extensive repairs”. It’s clear that the 6.2 issue had not been addressed properly.

There were no symptoms prior to the engine failure. On January 14th, 2025 while driving 58 miles per hour heard a sound that sounded like a slap on the back window. After the slap sound I noticed the engine was not running as normal. There was also a sound coming from the engine like metal rattling around. We pulled oil from another identical chassis with 10 miles on it and sent it in for testing to a 3rd party. At 100C/212F the viscosity was under 7 and it should be 20. It is our belief that GM has faulty bulk oil they’re putting in new vehicles.

Had a vehicle update for my 2023 Chevrolet Silverado and now my Onstar Module is toast and no longer under warranty bc I have 37,000 miles. Many reports of this happening to 2023 models but no recalls for this. Why should I have to pay $1000.00 for a part that is failing in many vehicles of the same year.

At approximately 24,000 miles the engine had catastrophic failure under normal street/highway driving conditions. The engine is the 6.2L V8. A valve on the 3.0L Duramax is allegedly sticking, causing the vehicle to go into limp mode or be inoperable. This is a known issue for GM and they have issued a service bulletin on it. Unfortunately, no dealers want to address the issue and now we are left with a vehicle that if we do not pay to repair, after it being ours for only 5 days, the vehicle will be unusable. This vehicle is under warranty still and this part is needed for operation. I believe this avoidance of a recall is harming customers and creating pay to drive schemes. This nee…

The symptoms since the beginning of 2024 have been that when braking between 7 and 10 mph, you feel a bump or a skid, and when you stop, the engine shakes for a moment as if it's going to shut off. This happens with the Auto Stop-Start off. A sudden braking moment can affect the vehicle's performance, making it difficult to control and increasing the risk of accidents, especially when it comes to a pickup truck that may have a trailer with cargo or objects in the bed that can be thrown. The trailer can even leave the road, losing control of the…

Lights were randomly flickering on and off, but the starter couldn’t turn the engine over. After 3 hours of waiting on Chevrolet roadside assistance we obtained …

While driving on an interstate the truck suddenly lost power then from 70 mph dropped almost immediately to 30-35 which almost caused the vehicles behind me to slam into me. Another time the auto stop came on waiting at a red light then when the light turned green the truck threw all alerts on the dash and died. Now I was parking and the esc control light came on then the trailer braking light and now the vehicle lost all power all together. I am not able to start it or even lock it.

It burns a significant amount of oil. I had an oil consumption test completed with a GM dealership, they state it is in their guidelines of standard. It burns around 2 quarts of oil within 5000 miles, so between oil changes. The add oil alert popped up while I was driving down the highway. My truck has 33500 miles on it, it should not be normal for a new truck to burn that much oil. They will not check my engine to identify the cause because they state it is within their standards.
