I HAVE BEEN SEEING THAT WHEN COMING TO A STOP MY VEHICLES IDLE STAYS UP WHEN IT SHOULD BE KICKING DOWN TO A LOWER RPM TO SLOW THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TO SMASH ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AT TIMES B/C IT FEELS LIKE THE TRUCK ISN'T STOPPING AND THE ENGINE RPMS STAY HIGH. I HEAR THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND HEARD THE FACTORY IS DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT. IM YET TO BRING IT IN FOR THIS CONCERN BUT WHY BOTHER IF OTHERS ARE BEING BRUSHED OFF BY THE DEALERS. I GUESS GM WILL ONLY STEP IN WHEN SOMEONE GETS HURTS OR EVEN DIES FROM THIS. *TR

I TRIED TO START IT UP AGAIN BUT IT WOULDN'T START AND WAS STUCK IN DRIVE. IT WAS TOWED AND IDENTIFIED AS THE IGNITION SWITCH BURNED. THIS WAS BACK IN 2011. My first complaint is that headlights, low beam, would not work. Only high beams worked. The issue stopped, unexplainable, on its own, has not occurred again. The 2nd complaint is the radio volume would 'slip' as if there were a loose wire to the speakers, and loss of sound became more frequent and for longer periods of time, eventually all sound stopped, it has not been fixed, as of yet. 3rd complaint, a brand new battery, in under a year of use, went completely dead, without any visible explanation. Within 3 months of owning the vehicle I started to hear a crackling sound coming from the passenger speaker in the door. At first it was loud and I thought someone hit me. It did it several times and then stopped. It has happened about a dozen times since I have owned the vehicle. It actually just happened again yesterday so when I take it in again I will tell them about this. We thought maybe it was onl…

WHEN YOU SHIFT TO PARK A MESSAGE COMES UP AND SAYS SHIFT TOPARK WHEN IT IS ALREADY IN PARK. THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THE VEHICHCLE WILL NOT SHUT OFF. YOU HAVE TO DO MANY DIFFERANT THINGS TO TRY TO GET THE MESSAGE TO LEAVE AND THEN IT WILL CUT OFF. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING NOW SINCE IT HIT 29700 MILES AND DOES IT ALMOST EVERYTIME WE DRIVE IT NOW. THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM HERE IF YOU CANT SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE . I ALSO NOTICED MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE TRAILBLAZERS. THIS NEEDS A RECALL FIX.

My brand new two week old 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS Issue: Auto Start/Stop system failure, the engine shuts off and does not restart Description:

WHEN IT IS DARK OUTSIDE AND YOU PUT THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE, THE LIGHTS NEXT TO THE BACK UP CAMERA CAUSES THE SCREEN INSIDE THE CAR TO SHOW BRIGHT WHITE. THERE IS NO WAY TO SHUT THE SCREEN OFF WHEN IN REVERSE. I HAVE TURNED THE BRIGHTNESS ALL THE WAY DOWN BUT IT IS STILL VERY BRIGHT MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE YOUR SURROUNDINGS SAFELY. THE ENGINE LIGHTS COME ON, THEN THE CAR STARTS CHUGGING AND SHUDDERING AND SOUNDS AND FEELS AS IF IT WILL SHUT DOWN. I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY RISK IN TRAFFIC, ESPECIALLY IF DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE AT ANYTHING OVER 20 MPH, IF IT EVEN ACCELERATES AT ALL. I USUALLY END UP COASTING TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND SHUTTING THE ENGINE DOWN. I LET IT SIT AND TURN IT BACK ON AND IT MAY OR MAY NOT LET ME GO AGAIN. *TR

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison
