Owner report 11531171 · 2023-07-09 (July 9, 2023)

Automobile less than 1 year old w/ less than 14,000 miles has had the following service issues. Transmission Failure 06/28/2023 - Replacement of entire valve body Transmission Failure 07/06/2023 - Dealership claims entire transmission to be replaced. Mileage between failures was 334. 2022 Chevy Traverse LS with 5K miles only. Brakes have been a problem. The front brakes make grinding noise randomly. Sometimes I feel that car runs fine and few days, it make lot of grinding noise. Did a search on Internet and noticed that 2021 Traverse is having similar issue with brake parts (material). Disappointed that this vehicle is having issue.

The front exhaust pipe on my 2022 Chevy Traverse has a defect which mirrors existing NHTSA recalls on 2019-2021 Chevy Traverse models. The bracket that attaches the two singular pipes together rusts out and pulls the bracket away from the pipe, exposing a loud exhaust leak, resulting in loss of power and backpressure to the motor. GM is aware of this problem, and has no available parts to resolve it and has offered no alternative repairs in the absence of parts. This makes my vehicle undriveable. That results in my employer risking my employmen…

The car is equipped with a supercruise feature, which should ideally enhance the driving experience. However, I've encountered a significant issue: even when this feature is not activated, the vehicle tends to oscillate between the lane markers. This problem becomes particularly pronounced under poor road conditions, such as when it's raining. The moisture on the pavement obscures the lane markings, and in these instances, the car automatically drifts toward the right side of the road. The vehicle shows 'shift to park' when the vehicle is parked. Error has been occurring since June and the dealership will not warranty the sensor repair and replacement. Burns Chevrolet dealership quoted me $600 to replace it. Dealership acknowledged that it is a known issue and has affected many models, especially the Traverse. There is a technical service bulletin for the issue and should be a recall.

I see that it has been an issue on this model since 2016. There needs to be a recall on this issue. You need to be able to turn off your car. Service Bulletins have been sent out but no recall.

While I was able to have the issue diagnosed and repaired by Newman’s Auto, with an invoice available, I believe this 44,000-mile vehicle experienced a premature failure.

When shifting my vehicle into Park, the message “Shift to Park” appears even though the gear lever is already in the Park position. The vehicle does not always recognize that it is in Park, which prevents it from fully shutting off and poses a potential rollaway or battery drain risk.
