TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHRYSLER GRAND VOYAGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BULB THAT ILLUMINATES THE HEATING AND COOLING CONTROLS FAILED. THE SAME BULB ALSO FITS FOR SEVERAL WARNING INDICATORS IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERN THAT THIS COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THE MANUFACTURER NO LONGER MAKES THE LIGHT BULB. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES WHERE A REPLACEMENT BULB COULD NOT BE FOUND. THE MANUFACTURE WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 116,000.

MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AS I WAS LEAVING MY DRIVEWAY, IT STAYED ON AND NEVER WENT OFF. MY STEERING WHEEL STARTED MAKING A CLICKING NOISE AS YOU TURN IT THE NEXT DAY AND THE HORN STOPPED WORKING. *TR
EVERY TIME IT RAINS AND I HAVE TO DRIVE THROUGH A PUDDLE THE BELT COMES OFF THE VAN. I IMMEDIATELY LOSE POWER STEERING AND THE CAR STARTS TO OVERHEAT. MANY TIMES I HAVE BEEN STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OR BARELY BEEN ABLE TO MUSCLE THE CAR OUT OF DANGER WITH MY CHILDREN INSIDE. I AM OUTRAGED THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND DOES NOTHING TO REMEDY IT. ARE THEY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE? *TR
IN THE RAIN, WHILE DRIVING IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY, THE FAN BELT SLIPPED OFF OF THE IDLER PULLEYS CAUSING LOSS OF STEERING, LOSS OF CHARGING, LOSS OF COOLING, THUS CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD ON THE CAR DUE TO LACK OF STEERING. RESULTING IF ALMOST $600.00 IN REPAIRS. THE CAR REPAIR SHOP SAYS THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME BECAUSE THE IDLER PULLEY ARE SMOOTH AND DO NOT HAVE THE PROPER GROOVES. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
