While driving, the car suddenly went into "Turtle Mode" in which the car slowed down by itself and numerous warnings on the dash board suddenly appear including "Service Electrical System". Since I am in the middle of driving on a fairly busy street I attempt to get the car moving again and step on the accelerator pedal. The car does increase in speed but now will not stop speeding up even when I let off the gas pedal. The speed of the vehicle keeps getting faster ON IT'S OWN. I have to step on the brake and keep braking to get the car to…

I am reporting serious and recurring electrical and system failures in my leased 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV, leased March 18, 2025. The vehicle has consistently experienced critical malfunctions that pose a threat to driver and public safety. The most dangerous issue is intermittent complete power failure. On at least four occasions, the vehicle failed to start or respond to keyless ignition. I was left stranded for 20–40 minutes in various locations with no access to power, movement, or control of the vehicle. These failures occu…

Car was 1.5 weeks old, purchased brand new. Had several electrical glitches in the days prior, which went away. Pulled into my son's Little League game, and the car just started flashing all lights on the dash, then said 'Service Transmission'. Gear shifter flashing, could not put the vehicle into park or any gear, it was like tit was stuck between park and drive. Anyhow, here it is, in the shop already after 800 miles of ownership. Quite disappointed. Apparently this has been happening a LOT to new Dodge Charger Daytona EV owners. Extremely co…

The contact leased a 2024 Dodge Charger EV. The contact stated that after the passenger’s side rear tire became deflated, the vehicle was taken to a tire shop, and the contact was informed that there was severe inner tire wear that had caused the tire to deflate. The technician stated that the tires were cambered inward while driving due to the weight of the vehicle. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact discovered that all four tires exhibited the same failure. The flat tire was re-inflated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and the dealer…

I am reporting an ongoing electrical/charging system problem with my 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T. During August 2026 alone, my vehicle has been taken to the Dodge dealership four times for electrical-related problems, recalls, software updates, and/or repairs. Most recently, on August 14, 2026, I picked the vehicle up from the dealership after it had been serviced. While driving home from the dealership, the vehicle displayed a red electrical plug warning along with the message “SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM.” I have a photograph documenting th…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.

I am reporting serious and recurring electrical and system failures in my leased 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV, leased March 18, 2025.
