Recall history

3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

19V747000 · Suspension:Front

Reported: 2019-10-18 (October 18, 2019) · Model years: 2017

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017 Dynamax DX3 and Force motorhomes. The front axle stabilizer bracket may not properly mount to the axle, and may break as a result.

Consequence: If the stabilizer bracket breaks, a sudden loss of vehicle control could occur, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Forest River has notified owners, and a Detroit Diesel dealer will perform the recall remedy. The stabilizer brackets and I-beams will be inspected and spacers and replacement stabilizer brackets will be installed, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began November 6, 2019. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440 or find a Detroit Diesel location at www.detroitdiesel.com/locations/default.aspx. Forest River's number for this recall is 55-1105.

Reported: 2020-11-23 (November 23, 2020) · Model years: 2020

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2019 Coachmen Chaparral and Shasta, 2019-2020 Coachmen Concord and Orion, 2020-2021 Coachmen Cross Trek and Forest River Berkshire, 2019-2021 Coachmen Freelander, Leprechaun and Prism, 2020 Coachmen Mirada, Pursuit and Sportscoach, Dynamax Force, DX3, Dynaquest XL and Isata and Forest River Wildwood and 2008 and 2020 Forest River Salem vehicles equipped with Dometic 3 burner cooking stoves. The saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the o-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak.

Consequence: A gas leak can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a remedy kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels, free of charge. The recall began January 11, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995, or Dometic customer service at 1-574-293-0681. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-1259.

Reported: 2024-04-17 (April 17, 2024) · Model years: 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Forest River Cardinal, Wildcat, 2018-2019 Cedar Creek, 2021 Columbus, 2023 Continental Cargo, 2021-2024 Dynamax DX3, Dynamax Dynaquest XL, Dynamax Isata, Forest River IBEX, 2022-2024 Dynamax Europa, Forest River NOBO, 2022-2023 Forest River Sandstorm, Shockwave, Stealth, and 2021-2023 Dynamax Force trailers. Consequence: A circuit board that overheats increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will disconnect and cut the circuit powering the LED backlights and terminate the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed by May 14, 2024. Owners may contact Suburban customer service at 1-574-247-9235 option 5; Cardinal & Wildcat customer service at 1-574-296-7700; Cedar Creek customer service at 1-260-593-4000; Columbus customer service at 1-574-821-1487; Continental Cargo customer service at 1-254-420-0171; Dynamax customer service at 1-574-264-6664; Ibex & Nobo customer service at 1-574-6421612; and Sandstorm & Shockwave customer service at 1-909-873-3777. All other professional opinions obtained stated that it was not safe and needed to be addressed. This included a heavy duty vehicle weld shop. They would not even touch it. While driving the vehicle, the air horns detached and fell onto the roadway and became inoperable. The air horn trumpets are metal and weigh a pound or so each. This has happened 3 times and I have had the air horns break again. The last time one trumpet became lodged on the front sway bar and dangled beneath the vehicle. It almost hit the drive belts on the engine.

Got an engine warning light while traveling. Our RV only has 67,000 miles on it. Cummins local dealer reports it is a Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) unit problem and unit needs a $10,000 replacement. This SCR is supposed to last 500,000 miles. Cummins refuses to cover the cost for this SCR repair even though Cummins issued a 2022-2024 voluntary recall acknowledging the problem_Cummins CR 2113. We never received a recall notice. Failure to replace will progressively lead to ghost error codes and eventually having the unit go into limp …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
