A SPECIFIC MODEL OF FREIGHTLINER CHASIS REQUIRES THE BRAKE PEDAL TO MOVE 1 AND 1/2 INCHES BEFORE THE BRAKE LIGHT ARE SWITCHED ON. I WOULD DESCRIBE THE 1 AND1/2 TRAVEL TO BE THE BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE OF A 8/10'S PANIC STOP. IN OTHER WORD MORE THAN WHAT IS USED DURING NORMAL DRIVING. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 MIDWEST 2AATV UTILITY TRAILER (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOADING RAMPS ON THE TRAILER WERE TOO SHORT WHEN TRYING TO LOAD THE VEHICLE. THE LOADING RAMPS WERE 57 DEGREES FROM THE SIDE AND 59 DEGREES FROM THE REAR. WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO LOAD SOME ITEMS ONTO THE VEHICLE, THEY FELL BACK ON HIM. HE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 300. THE ENGINE SIZE, NUMBER OF CYLINDERS, AND POWERTRAIN WERE INAPPLICABLE.
Darker cells indicate a larger share of submitted complaints. Components overlap. This measures complaint composition, not failure probability.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
