22V340000 · Power Train:Automatic Transmission:Gear Position Indication (Prndl)

Reported: 2022-05-16 (May 16, 2022) · Model years: 2021, 2022

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2021-2022 FCCC MT50e walk-in vans. The rotary shift position knob may malfunction, which can cause an unintended shift to drive.

Consequence: Unintentionally shifting to drive can cause unexpected vehicle movement, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: All vehicles have been remedied, therefore no owner notification letters are necessary. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL934.

22V460000 · Power Train:Axle Assembly

Reported: 2022-06-28 (June 28, 2022) · Model years: 2021, 2022, 2023

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022-2023 FCCC MT50e walk-in vans. The electronic axle parking pawl may be broken or damaged which, when in park without the emergency brake set, can result in vehicle rollaway.

Consequence: Vehicle rollaway increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the electronic axle housing and drive motor, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 27, 2023. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL944.

22V914000 · Power Train:Automatic Transmission:Gear Position Indication (Prndl)

Reported: 2022-12-09 (December 9, 2022) · Model years: 2021, 2022

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2021-2022 MT50e electric walk-in vans that were previously repaired under recall number 22V-340. The transmission gear shifter indicator may not display accurately. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence/Starter Interlock/Transmission Braking Effect."

Consequence: Driving a vehicle with an inaccurate transmission gear shifter indicator can result in an unintentional gear shift, which can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the gear shifter, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 2, 2023. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-961.

23V238000 · Steering:Linkages:Tie Rod Assembly

Reported: 2023-04-04 (April 4, 2023) · Model years: 2022, 2023

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022 FCCC Shuttle Chassis, 2022-2023 FCCC RV Chassis, FCCC Van Chassis, Van Chassis Gas, 2023 Freightliner Cascadia, Freightliner Business Class M2, Thomas Built Bus School Bus Chassis, Western Star 4700, Western Star 47X, Western Star 4900, and Western Star 49X commercial buses. The tie rod may be missing a fastener, allowing the steer arm to detach.

Consequence: A detached steering arm can result in a sudden loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: DTNA will inspect and repair or replace the tie rod assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 11, 2023. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL970.

Reported: 2022-11-23 (November 23, 2022) · Model years: 2023

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2023 FCCC MT50e vans. An insufficient connection in the battery pack may cause the battery management system to shut down unexpectedly.

Consequence: An unexpected shut down can result in a sudden loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the battery packs, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 14, 2023. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-960.

23V879000 · Electrical System:Propulsion System:Inverter

Reported: 2023-12-21 (December 21, 2023) · Model years: 2023, 2024

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2024 Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER C2 Jouley and 2023-2024 FCCC MT50E electric transit buses. The high voltage inverter cable may not be secured properly, which can result in a loss of drive power.

Consequence: A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 1, 2024. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL987.

25V601000 · Service Brakes, Air:Critical Fasteners | Service Brakes, Air:Disc:Caliper

Reported: 2025-09-11 (September 11, 2025) · Model years: 2026

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2025 FCCC XCR, FCCC XBS, FCCC MT45, Western Star 57X, 2025-2026 Freightliner Business Class M2, Freightliner Cascadia, Freightliner 114SD, Freightliner 108SD, FCCC MT55G, FCCC MT45G, FCCC XCP, FCCC XCM, Western Star 49X, Western Star 47X, 2026 Freightliner Cascadia 5th Gen, FCCC MT55, and FCCC MT50E vehicles. The brake caliper mounting bolts may loosen and detach, which can cause a loss of brake function and damage the tire and/or wheel.

Consequence: A loss of brake function can increase the risk of a crash. In addition, a damaged wheel or tire can lead to a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace or tighten the brake caliper mounting bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 10, 2025. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is F1023.
