IN FEBRUARY OF 1999 I PURCHASED A COBALT 226 AND AN EAGLE TRAILER. THIS EAGLE TRAILER WAS MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR MY BOAT, IT HAS CARLISLE ST205/75R14 TIRES.. SINCE I LIVE IN PA, MY BOATING YEAR IS 3-4 MONTHS LONG AND BY BOAT IS STORED INDOORS DURING THE WINTER. MY AVERAGE MILEAGE EACH YEAR IS APPROX. 1000 MILES. IN MAY, 2002. I BLEW OUT THE FIRST TIRE. WHILE DRIVING ON TURNPIKE, A PASSERBY SIGNALED CONSUMER TO PULL OVER, ONCE HE PULLED OVER AND GOT OUT OF TRUCK, HE NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE TRAILERS FIFTH WHEEL AXLE AROUND THE LEFT INSIDE TIRE, CONSUMER WENT BACK TO THE TRAILER AND SAW FLAMES, CONSUMER TRIED TO EXTINGUISH FIRE BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL, THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK ONLY THE TRAILER, THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE AN IGNITION SOURCE FOR THE FIRE.(OHIO TRAFFIC CRASH REPORT # 10-92-339)*JB
