ALSO WHILE BRAKING YOU IF YOU DO NOT HOLD THE WHEEL IN THE STRAIGHT POSITION THE VEHICLE VEERS AND DRIFTS TO THE RIGHT. IN A PANIC STOP IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND IS A SAFETY HAZARD. ALSO WHEN YOU ARE BRAKING YOU ACTUALLY CAN FEEL THE VEHICLE DRIFTING, VEERING AND PULLING TO THE RIGHT WHEN YOU ARE HOLDING THE STEERING WHEEL. Without warning my brakes and steering failed on a Freedom Elite RV on a Ford Motor chassis. The vehicle only had 2396 miles on it at the time of occurrence. It turned out to be a pressure hose that broke. Luckily I was in a residential neighborhood with no traffic and driving very slowly when it happened. I shudder to think what would have happened on a hill or in traffic.

YESTERDAY I WENT TO START A 2007 FORD E-350 SUPER DUTY CARGO VAN WITH A 5.4L TRITON ENGINE. ONE OF THE SPARK PLUGS WAS IMMEDIATELY EJECTED WHICH RESULTED IN RUINING THE PLUG AND COIL. I WAS ABLE TO RE-INSERT THE PLUG AND TIGHTEN IT UP, BUT IT IS ALSO THE SECOND TIME IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME. PREVIOUSLY IT ALSO HAPPENED ON A 1999 E-350 WITH THE SAME ENGINE AND ALSO THE SAME CYLINDER. I TRADED THE 99 IN FOR THE 2007 AND IN LESS THAN A MONTH HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. *TR

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
