6 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

18V312000 · Service Brakes | Equipment:Other:Labels

Reported: 2018-05-14 (May 14, 2018) · Model years: 2018

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018 Ford Ecosport vehicles sold in the United States Federal Territiories. These vehicles were shipped with the European brake reservoir pictogram cap label and the European English language owner's manual kits. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

Consequence: Owners could be confused by the incorrect label on the brake fluid cap, potentially causing them to replace the brake fluid with an incorrect fluid which could affect brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake fluid cap and owner's manual kit, free of charge. The recall began on June 21, 2018. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 18C04.

Reported: 2023-12-22 (December 22, 2023) · Model years: 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Ford Focus and 2018-2022 Ford EcoSport vehicles. The oil pump drive belt or drive belt tensioner may fail, resulting in a loss of engine oil pressure.

Consequence: A loss of oil pressure can result in an engine stall and a loss of power braking assist, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the oil pump tensioner assembly and oil pump drive belt, free of charge. If engine failure occurs due to a damaged oil pump belt and/or oil pump belt tensioner, Ford has authorized dealers to replace the engine assembly as an interim repair before the availability of remedy parts for the final repair. This repair will be free of charge (parts and labor). Owner notification letters were mailed August 11, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 23S64.

Reported: 2019-01-02 (January 2, 2019) · Model years: 2019

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 Ford EcoSport vehicles. The front seat frames may have been improperly welded, resulting in the seat back being improperly secured. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems," and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Consequence: A loose seat back can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Remedy: Ford has notified owners, and dealers will replace the front seat assemblies, free of charge. The recall began May 8, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 18C08.

20V791000 · Air Bags:Frontal:Passenger Side:Inflator Module | Air Bags:Frontal:Driver Side:Inflator Module

Reported: 2020-12-17 (December 17, 2020) · Model years: 2020

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020 EcoSport and 2019-2020 Transit Connect vehicles. Depending on the model, either the driver side or passenger side frontal air bag modules are missing the first-stage booster propellant and sleeve. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Consequence: Air bag modules missing the first-stage booster propellant will not deploy as intended in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected air bag module on either the driver or passenger side, free of charge. This recall began February 18, 2021. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 20C26.

Reported: 2025-06-27 (June 27, 2025) · Model years: 2020, 2021

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Transit Connect, 2019-2020 MKZ, MKX, Edge, Continental, F-150, Nautilus, Fusion, 2019-2023 Ranger, Mustang, 2020-2021 EcoSport, Expedition, Navigator, 2020-2022 Escape, F-250 SD, Corsair, 2020-2023 Aviator, Transit, 2020-2024 Explorer, 2021-2024 Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank image, or the image may remain on the display after the backing event has ended.

Consequence: A rearview camera that displays a blank image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle. A rearview image that continues to be displayed after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse may distract the driver. Both of these situations can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the rearview camera software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 4, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S72.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2022 EcoSport vehicles. The front axle half shafts may disconnect from the transmission, which can result in a loss of drive power.

Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. In addition, a disconnected half shaft can result in a vehicle rollaway if the parking brake is not applied, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the half shafts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 29, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S12.

Driving on the interstate the low oil pressure light came on no check engine lights or anything . The oil pump is belt driven aka wet belt and the rubber teeth come off stopping up the oil pump and causing it not to work properly . For the 2nd time in about 8-10 months, while braking and having nearly come to a stop, on a slight incline, the car had a sudden acceleration. Driver repeatedly stomped on the brake as the car tried to leap forward. Extremely dangerous. No warning lights. I know the dealer won’t do anything because they won’t be able to reproduce it. Conditions were mild, slight sprinkle. I bought the car from a dealer with 5000 mile on it. Wonder whether original owner experienced a similar problem.

After a few near death experiences and being stranded several times, my 2019 Ford EcoSport has had a new Sync 3 system, EVAP, and 2 “new” engines. And it’s still not functioning properly. (Was shooting out black smoke, jerking, stalling, screen blackout.) Jerking and the screen blacks out. But according to Ford, it’s ok to drive. Might be the transmission -after a complete diagnostic test and test drive. The car cuts off (not from the start/stop feature).

Oil flow light came on and I went to Walmart to have oil changed and to make sure oil filter was good. went to leave Walmart and oil flow light came on again. they took back in to take another look at it and could find anything noticeable. I was then told I should take it to a mechanic cause to him it seemed like the fuel pump wasn't flowing oil properly. I started home and while on the interstate I started smelling gas and the car started making a very loud whistling noise, like a teacup whistle. I was going 70mph and all of a sudden, the car …

Our vehicle has had turbo problems for over a year and a half. The turbo was replaced once. Problems with rev hang and transmission rpm increasing randomly started happening. Then came the smell of gas/oil. The dealership had said it must be an internal problem because they couldn't find anything. Then most recently it was low oil pressure and the car dropping speed on the highway and not being able to get up to speed. It started making a rattling/clinking noise and wasn't driving well at all. It was towed on January 22, 2024, to the dealershi…

I don't know who could help resolve the issue we have. Our 2019 Ford Eco-sport had several recalls. The last recall Holman/Ford kept our car for 9 months but kind enough to lend us a car to use while they waited for a part. We had to cancel our vacation trip to Turner Maine to see our daughter's family because we were not permitted to drive the loaner out of state! Later they decided that they had to give us a new engine and gave us the car back in November of 2024. After receiving our car back we noticed a gas smell each time we put the hea…

On March 8th, 2024, I was traveling full speed northbound on I-95 returning home from a family funeral. I heard a loud "whipping" noise come from the engine, then immediately received a notification on the dash alerting me to "low engine oil pressure". Within seconds, there was a loss of all acceleration capability. The car had to coast off of the highway onto the shoulder. I was in a construction zone, and luckily had just enough room on the shoulder to pull off in between the concrete dividers. Once the car was put in park, I could smell burn…

Been dealing with the issue for almost a year and and a half. Went to the dealer and had to pay out of pocket for a temporary fix that they claimed was a lose hose clamp. After receiving a second letter stating to take it back to the dealer a second time and presented it and how an intern repair is available due to my car now leaking and burning oil and the service manager said they could not do anything and would not even look at my car and told me I had to wait the recalled parts are available although ford has offered an interm repair is all…

I tried contacting Ford and they told me to contact the dealer. My car smells like burnt oil and then I got this recall notice. I called Yark and Brondes dealerships and both refuse to do a diagnostic on my car unless I pay them for a 1/2 day's wages or $160 or more. They both acknowledged knowing about the recall. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and am really upset they won't do a free diagnostic to confirm I do not have a fractured engine oil pump drive belt tensioner arm. My Powertrain is still under warranty, and they still wil…
