While accelerating on a busy tollway, the automatic transmission got stuck in 6th gear. The car then began to slow down, and the gear display went blank. I rented the vehicle in question from Hertz. The vehicle's cruise control and vehicle acceleration system repeatedly malfunctioned over the course of several days. I would have cruise control set for 35 mph and the vehicle would automatically re-set cruise control to 55 or 65 mph. Likewise, I could have the cruise control set for 55 mph or 75 mph and it would automatically on its own re-set the cruise control to 85 mph and even, in a couple cases, 100 mph.

Had to "bunny" hop it over 4 lanes of traffic and barely survived the most terrifying experience of my life. The drive shaft is bad. My expedition is shaking very bad at high speeds it shakes the rear view mirror. I took it back to the dealership where I got it from 3 months after I got it because they thought it was the shocks. They replaced both rear shocks. Contol arms, body mounts. Got all brand new tires which have been balanced and rotated and the vehicle is still shaking at 60 + mpr. A while back in kept hearing a bird chirping noise but later found it that's due to drive shaft. Also of clunking going on under truck.

The speedometer will quit working and the vehicle will not shift out of 1st gear, if you can work through it it will start throwing error messages such as zero miles to empty, tire moniter system fault, etc. This is a very dangerous situation especially in high traffic areas. There was a customer satisfaction program on it but only up to 150,000 miles. This program should last the life of the vehicle, also, if it was fixed before ownership, why did it go bad again

I bought this vehicle early 2023. From the moment I bought it I’ve had a loud ticking sound come from the dash or the motor when I start the car also when it’s really hot out. It also didn’t blow cold air. So I had to save up enough money to replace the AC components in my 2011 expedition. After I got it “repaired” It only lasted about six months and that’s being conservative. $2000 later and it’s blowing hot air and still making you loud ticking sound. I PURCHASED A 2003 EXPEDITION IN SEPTEMBER OF 2002. I REPORTED A VIBRATION IN STEERING WHEEL AND BRAKE PEDAL, A CLANKING NOISE IN THE FRONT END, ALONG WITH A SLIPPAGE WHEN TAKING OFF AS VEHICLE SEEMS TO NOT WANT TO RESPOND WHEN PUSHING ON THE GAS. THEY STATED THE ENGINEERS WERE AWARE OF PROBLEM AND WHERE WORKING ON IT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN IN SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THESE PROBLEMS STILL EXIST. ON THE 2 APPOINTMENT FOR MY VEHICLE I STATED TO THE SERVICE AREA THAT MY BRAKE PEDAL WOULD GO TO THE FLOOR, AND I WOULD HAVE NO BRAKES. THEY TOLD ME…
