Summary: My 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT has repeatedly experienced a complete and unexpected loss of propulsion while driving in active traffic. Each time, the vehicle displayed a red “Stop Safely Now” warning with additional critical alerts, followed by an immediate loss of forward motion with no prior indication. This left the vehicle stalled in traffic and created a significant safety hazard. Dash completely turned off. We could not see speed, gear, battery life, etc. See attached photo of the dash board above the steering wheel. Tried turning car off and on, tried resetting the monitor. Dealership service advisor witnessed this. The technician could not replicate it, and they did not have a solution but it is now back on. Worried it may happen again, opened up a buy back claim but dealership thinks we don’t have a strong case since they couldn’t find anything.

Completely locked out of car without any access. No way of unlocking car. I tried via key fob, key pad, approach, mobile app. The locks are completely electronic, so no way to mechanically unlock. Had to call a tow truck to tow it to the dealership where I bought it just a couple weeks earlier. 2 days earlier, an OTA update was installed that was labeled as improving battery optimization. This seems to be what triggered the issue. Many owners of 2023 and 2024 Mustang Mach E's are experiencing the same issue.

After backing out of the driveway, our Mach-e started accelerating without putting my foot on the accelerator. Car literally was just getting faster and faster without me doing anything. When I did press the accelerator after the stop sign to the entrance to our neighborhood, nothing happened and the car just rolled forward. Took my foot off the right pedal and it started accelerating again. Got out to the main road, had to pull over, and rode the brake back home. I have 2023 Ford EV and my son also have 2022 Ford EV, too. We are living in the same house. All Ford mobile chargers with 240V do not work properly. It is supposed to charge at 7KWh but it drops 3Khw after few minutes charge. I switched to new Ford mobile charge, but it is faulty, too. Ford says its overheating issue but it happens during the winter season, too. I am concerning it might have faulty electric design and cause the fire at home. I checked the Ford Mach-e Forum, many of them have same problems.

There is an issue with the Mach E where while in a parking lot at low speeds the user may accidentally press the cruise control setting which will initiate the car jolting up to 15 mph (minimum speed for adaptive cruise control system) instantly. This happens when you are going 5 mph or less in a parking lot. I traded in my vehicle and purchased a new vehicle on September 27, 2025. After signing the contract, I was informed that there were two recalls on the vehicle that would be taken care of by the end of the day.

I noticed that I kept receiving a low tire pressure warning on my car. I would have it filled and then a few days later, the warning appeared again. I took the car in to the dealership to let them know there is an issue with my tire on 11/24/2025. The dealership then stated that I had to pay for a replacement tire. I asked if there was any type of warranty on the tire as I have only had the vehicle for a few months. They stated I had to purchase a new tire. I do not feel that I should pay for a defected tire. I have not driven the vehicle due t…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
