Car was parked in my home garage and would not start, displaying "Stop safely now." Vehicle appears to have code P0AA1 Hybrid battery positive contactor - circuit stuck closed. Many other Mach-E vechicles are exhibiting this defective part in the high voltage battery system, which appears to be the Battery Electrical Control Module (BECM). Ford appears to be aware of this issue, and, unconfirmed, has stopped production of the Mach-E to canibalize parts to fix vehicles that fail. This has left me stranded in the cold hundreds of miles from home one of those times. They are now saying that a high voltage junction box and a battery energy control module is required. Completely locked out of car without any access. No way of unlocking car. I tried via key fob, key pad, approach, mobile app. The locks are completely electronic, so no way to mechanically unlock. Had to call a tow truck to tow it to the dealership where I bought it just a couple weeks earlier. 2 days earlier, an OTA update was installed that was labeled as improving battery optimization. This seems to be what triggered the issue. Many owners of 2023 and 2024 Mustang Mach E's are experiencing the same issue.

Ford has recently released a software update that causes Front Camera Faults when going over bumpy roads and across multiple conditions. This causes the Blue Cruise cruise control system to suddenly stop working when driving at highway speeds. When coupled with One Pedal driving, this could cause brakes to slam on while driving at highway speeds. Additionally, forward emergency breaking does not work until this fault resets (after ~1-2 minutes typically). This happens constantly when driving and causes safety hazards.

I've spoken to many other owners who are having the same problem and it seems that there is not fix. This causes the cruise control and lane keeping assist to become unavailable. Myself and many other owners have attempted to get this issue resolved multiple times and it seems that there isn't a fix and the manufacturer is not speaking out about it. My car is currently at the repair shop for it…

Unintended acceleration from a stop when pushing accelerator. Has happened 2 times in the last 2 days. I touched the throttle from a stop 2 time and it took off like I put the accelerator to full throttle (which I didn’t). Very dangerous situation in parking lots or around pedestrians. I have scheduled an apt with my local dealer.

While driving around a curve, my car lost all power and went completely dark. I didn't have brakes, steering, lights or any other functions. My car was completely bricked. This happened before daylight and I didn't have emergency flashers to notify other drivers I was stopped on the side of the road. After waiting for 6 hours for a tow truck, I went and tried to find the problem myself. I found a loose connection. It was the main power feed supplying the fuse box. Once I tightened it up, I was able to start and drive the car. I've attached a p…

I keep receiving a fault for the front camera which seems to be a very common occurrence amongst Mach-e owners lately. After receiving this message, the cruise control abruptly kicks off. All functions of the cruise control do not work in this instance…adaptive, speed keeping, lane control, etc. This fault happens about once every couple of minutes while driving. When I’m using cruise control in ‘one-pedal’ drive mode and this fault occurs, the vehicle immediately starts braking. This happened one time as I was entering a narrow bridge in Solom…

* On October 16th, 2022, at about 7:00 pm, I was driving my 2021 Ford Mach-E GT when we began to change lanes (we were in the left lane heading East) as the vehicle in front of us slowed down to make a left-hand turn. There was a car behind us and two vehicles in the right lane (two-lane road in each direction) that were a few car lengths behind us as we began to change into that lane. When I turned on my signal and turned the steering wheel, I pressed the gas pedal to accelerate to get around the car in front of me to keep my distance from the…

AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD (IN MOTION / CITY STREET) AT 30 MILES PER HOUR IN MY BRAND NEW (4 WEEK OLD / 2200 MILES) ALL ELECTRIC FORD MACH E, THE DISPLAY FLASHED MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS THAT CAME TOO QUICKLY TO DECIPHER, AND THEN THE CAR WENT DEAD. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND COME TO A STOP. AT THIS POINT THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. EVEN THE HAZARD LIGHTS WOULDN'T WORK WHICH MADE THE SITUATION DANGEROUS SINCE THE CARS BEHIND ME COULD NOT TELL THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM.

At around 600 miles my vehicle displayed "high voltage battery warning" and "powertrain malfunction" dashboard warning lights. Each light had an associated description that indicated the vehicle's power could fail at any time. This is a 1st model year all electric vehicle. The fact this occurred within 1k miles of ownership is concerning. I took it to a local Ford dealer, ultimately they replaced the high voltage battery junction box and battery electronic control module.

While driving on a mountain pass, my 2021 Mustang Mach-E vehicle lost all regenerative braking which, due to the downhill grade, caused a sudden and shocking increase in speed, played warning chimes, and displayed "Stop Safely Now" and "1-Pedal Drive Fault Press Brake Pedal To Reduce Speed" and lost all drive power, forcing me to coast to a stop on the side of the mountain, in an area without cellular coverage to call for help. However, some are less lucky than me and had their car stop dea…

The High Volt Battery (HVB) would have a fault in charging sporadically. When this happens, the vehicle can't start. All the alerts for safety features come on and says that it's in accessory mode only. It's no longer in my possession for inspection. It was approved for lemon law buy back and is now owned by Ford Motor Company. They've recognized that the 12v battery drains dead when this happens and they were attempting to replace the ECM module, Battery Control Harness, and the HVB junction box to remedy the issue. My safety was put at risk …

on 8/22/2022 received a powertrain malfunction notice by Ford. Since that time on four occasions the vehicle has lost power causing a significant jerking and loud thud. It loses all power. This has happened twice after Blue Cruise has disengaged. Two other times include when the vehicle was placed in drive or reverse. It also caused a lurching motion after it engaged without the foot on the accelerator.

Car purchased new June 2021. In April 2022, I began to get intermittent faults regarding the front camera “Front Camera Fault - Service required” - this would disable cruise control on highways and cause quite a lurch and change in speed. The error message disables cruise control, camera, pre-collision assist, and lane keeping assist. The error message would disappear after a few minutes. By Memorial Day weekend May 2022, the fault was persistent and the error message did not go away. In August 2022, I left the car with my dealer for 3 weeks an…

Having completed the high voltage junction box recall with the Mach-E a week or so before, I was braking in order to complete a left-turn in one-pedal drive mode (therefore lifting my foot off the accelerator causing the vehicle to slow down). I received a notification as I did so that one pedal drive mode had a fault and was deactivated (this appeared on the screen by the steering wheel).
