On April 6th, the AC in the car began stalling and a few days after the engine started making all sorts of noise and failing and ultimately stopped working. I kept the car in my garage until I was able to obtain the money to replace the engine. I just yesterday picked up my car from the shop that replaced the engine (where I paid $13,000). The car is back in the shop and having same stalling issues.

Owner report 11505763 · 2023-02-06 (February 6, 2023)

Powertrain - The transmission when coming to a stop lurches the vehicle forward. Along with the lurching forward when slowing down it makes a loud clunk noise and makes the car and my person move forward. Propulsion - When turning into traffic the car sometimes has no power and takes about 3 seconds to get power back to the vehicle, almost causing accident.

While driving approximately 45 mph and entering a highway, my 2022 Ford Mustang GT California Special suddenly lost power and shut off completely. The engine stalled without warning, creating a dangerous situation with surrounding traffic. I had to coast the vehicle and restart it. This vehicle has an open safety recall (NHTSA Recall Number 25V455 / Ford Recall 25S75) related to a low-pressure fuel pump failure that can cause engine stalling while driving. The vehicle is a 2022 Ford Mustang EcoBoost. While driving in traffic, the engine suddenly stalled and shut off without warning. This created an immediate safety risk as the vehicle lost power in the middle of active traffic flow, requiring me to quickly maneuver to avoid blocking traffic and potential collision. The issue appears consistent with a fuel delivery or fuel pressure failure, as the engine restarted immediately after the stall. Prior to this incident, the vehicle had shown intermittent warning signs including check engine light acti…

While attempting to accelerate at an intersection, the vehicle lurched forward. The gas peddle stopped working completely, leaving my vehicle stranded in the middle of the intersection with traffic coming from both directions. The engine was not revving when the gas peddle was being pushed. After repeatedly slamming on the gas peddle, the vehicle quickly accelerated forward, fishtailed, and sent me into oncoming traffic, very narrowly avoiding an accident.

This recall describes a known safety-related defect which can stall the vehicle while driving, thus increasing the risk of a crash. After 8 months without developing a remedy, that danger remains every time I drive my beloved Mustang. Is Ford waiting for numerous deaths due to this issue before making the cure a reality? What is the explanation for the lack of a cure? Evidently Ford has produced a fine looking automobile which should sit in one's garage instead of confidently driving it.

The recall has been open for several months, and there is currently no available remedy …

The Mustang window is supposed to retract approximately 1/2" when the door is opened or shut. My vehicle does this BUT the window will not return to the fully closed position when the door is shut. This is a safety Hazzard as the window tries to fully close but then goes down a 1/2" and returns to fully closed repeatedly while I am driving; this leads to driver distraction on the road, a very hazardous situation. It also leaves the vehicle vulnerable to theft as with the window 1/2" down it is very easy for a thief to stick in a wire and activa…
