IN EARLY SEPTEMBER 2018 I TOOK MY 2015 FOREST RIVER GREY WOLF 23DBH TRAILER TO A SERVICE CENTRE FOR WINTERIZATION. AT SERVICE CHECK-IN IT WAS NOTED THAT THE RUBBER GASKET AROUND THE SLIDE-OUT WAS COMING OUT. WHEN THE DEALER INVESTIGATED THEY FOUND THAT THE FRAME WAS FAILING, CAUSING THE WALL TO DROP. THIS WAS CAUSING THE SLIDE-OUT TO DROP. THE SLIDE WAS NOW SCRAPING ALONG THE INTERIOR FLOOR DESTROYING THE FLOORING. THE DEALER'S INVESTIGATION FOUND MULTIPLE PLACES IN THE FRAME WHERE IT WAS FAILING. PICTURES ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS SUBMISSION. THE…
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FOREST RIVER CHEROKEE GREY WOLF 24RK TRAVEL TRAILER. WHEN THE CONTACT BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR A SERVICE REPAIR CALL, THE DEALER FOUND BUCKLES ON THE SIDES OF THE FRONT WHEEL WELLS AND NEAR THE SLIDE OUT, WHICH WAS ALSO STIFF. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER DETERMINED THAT THE OUT-RIGGERS WERE NOT STRONG ENOUGH AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, BUT NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,500.
WHERE WE PLUG IN TO THE TRAILER FOR ELECTRICITY MELTED THE RECEPTICLE ON TRAILER AND THE PLUG THAT TWIST AND LOCKS INTO IT. WE LOST POWER IT WAS SMOKING. THE TWO PARTS MELTED TOGETHER.
The contact owns a 2020 Forest River Grey Wolf RV equipped with Castle Rock Tires, Tire Line: Radial ST226, Tire Size: 205/75/R14, DOT Number (Unavailable). The contact stated while performing a daily safety check, she noticed that the front passenger’s side tire had experienced a blowout. The contact stated that the steel belts were visible. The tire was not replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
PURCHASED A BRAND NEW TRAVEL TRAILER FROM GANDER OUTDOORS. TOOK THE CAMPER OUT ON THE FIRST TRIP AND HAD A MASSIVE TIRE BLOW OUT. WE WERE TRAVELING ON A RURAL HIGHWAY, HAPPENED TO NOTICE SMOKE FROM THE SIDE VIEW MIRROR THEN SAW PIECES OF RUBBER FLYING EVERYWHERE. MOVED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS A NOT A SINGLE ISSUE, MOST FOREST RIVER OWNERS HAVE COMPLAINED. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. THIS PUTS THE DRIVERS AND FAMILY OF THE CAMPER AT RISK FOR CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENTS ALONG WITH PLACING OTHER ROAD DRIVERS AT RISK F…

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
