I immediately pulled over as soon as it was safe and the code read failure on #1 fuel injector. I pulled into a campground and had the motorhome towed to a repair garage since it was not driveable the engine had a knock and did not want to do any damage to the engine . I pulled to the side of the road, with my foot on the brake, i placed the Motorhome in park, and set the emergency brake. When i went to start to turn back on the road, the gear shift lever, would move freely, but not change from park to drive, or any other gear. I limped to my destination by shifting the transmission manually at the transmission linkage lever. Found out that the linkage cable had melted on the exhaust. It was not properly tied up away from the exhaust.

Windshield developed a stress crack starting at the bottom-center, and is growing vertically. Several other owners have reported the same issue, originating in the same exact spot. Some have reported that the original windshield was too large and, consequently, did not leave sufficient room for caulking at the bottom. Others have reported that a defect in the vehicle's dash causes it to press against the windshield. This has been reported to the factory by numerous other owners, and the factory refuses to correct the issue.

Factory weight measurements show rear axle at 14,310 lbs (GAWR: 15,500 lbs). Adding required fluids (80 US gal fuel @ 480 lbs, 24.5 US gal LPG @ 103 lbs, 85 US gal fresh water @ 705 lbs, 10 US gal hot water @ 84 lbs) increases rear axle weight to 15,579 lbs, exceeding GAWR by 79 lbs before any cargo loading. This creates significant safety risks through axle overload during normal operation. Forest River now builds this model on 26000# chassis, validating the original chassis as inadequate. Suspension upgrade costs approximately $28,000 USD. Re…
