Recall history

5 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

13V037000 · Electrical System:Ignition

Reported: 2013-02-01 (February 1, 2013) · Model years: 2013

Forest River is recalling certain model year 2013 Concord, Leprechaun, Freelander, Lexington, Forester and Sunseeker class B and class C motor homes built on Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana chassis. It may be possible to remove the key from the ignition when the vehicle is running or the transmission is not in the Park position. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114, "Theft Protection."

Consequence: If the ignition key is removed while the vehicle is still on and/or the vehicle is not in Park, the vehicle may rollaway and the unintended movement of the vehicle may result in a possible crash or injury to pedestrians.

Remedy: General Motors (GM) will notify owners on behalf of Forest River. GM dealers will replace the ignition lock cylinder and the two associated keys. This service will be performed free of charge. The recall began on February 28, 2013. For more information, GMC owners may call 1-866-996-9463 and Chevrolet owners may call 1-800-630-2438. Owner's may also contact Forest River at 1-574-389-4600.

19V736000 · Electrical System: Instrument Cluster/Panel | Seat Belts:Front:Warning Light/Devices

Reported: 2019-10-16 (October 16, 2019) · Model years: 2020

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2020 Sunseeker SSC2250SLEC, Freelander FLC26RSC, and Leprechaun LPC240FSC vehicles. The seatbelt-unfastened warning light will not illuminate for approximately five seconds after the ignition is moved to the "on" or "start" position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Consequence: Without the seatbelt warning reminder, the driver may forget to fasten the seatbelt, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and GM dealers will reprogram the instrument panel, free of charge. The recall began on October 29, 2019. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782 or Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-1084.

24V895000 · Exterior Lighting:Tail Lights

Reported: 2024-11-27 (November 27, 2024) · Model years: 2025

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 Concord, Entourage, Freelander, and Leprechaun motorhomes. The taillights may overheat and fail to illuminate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: Inoperative taillights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the taillights, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 12, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8602. Forest River's number for this recall is 210-1872.

25V486000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery:Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings

Reported: 2025-07-25 (July 25, 2025) · Model years: 2025, 2026

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Sunseeker, Solera, Forester, Freelander, Leprechaun, and East to West Entrada motorhomes. The fuel line extension connectors may have inconsistent crimps, allowing the fuel line to detach.

Consequence: A detached fuel line can leak, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel lines as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning September 26, 2025. Entrada owners may contact customer service at 1-574-264-6664. Forester, Solera, and Sunseeker owners may contact customer service at 1-574-206-7600. Reported: 2026-08-03 (August 3, 2026) · Model years: 2027

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2027 Leprechaun and Freelander recreational vehicles. A battery posted mounted breaker may not be installed, leaving the power feed wire without overcurrent protection.

Consequence: A unprotected power feed wire increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will install an overcurrent protection device, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 25, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8602. Forest River's number for this recall is 210-2085.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
