Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

16V552000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer

Reported: 2016-07-25 (July 25, 2016) · Model years: 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2013-2017 Dynamax and Coachmen Pursuit recreational vehicles and 2016-2017 Freelander and Orion recreational vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with shower curtains that may not adequately resist catching fire in the presence of an ignition source. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 302, "Flammability of Interior Materials."

Consequence: A flammable shower curtain may further fuel a fire, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will replace the shower curtains with curtains made with fire retardant, free of charge. The recall began on September 12, 2016. Owners may contact Dynamax customer service at 1-574-262-3474, Pursuit customer service at 1-574-825-8305 (east of the Mississippi) or 1-574-825-8317 (west of the Mississippi) and Freelander or Orion customer service at 1-574-825-8602. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-07152016-0225.

Reported: 2024-11-08 (November 8, 2024) · Model years: 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Ahara, Entrada, 2022-2025 FR3, Georgetown, 2021-2023 Dynamax Isata, 2021-2025 Encore, Mirada, Pursuit, 2025 Sportscoach, V-Cruise, V-Sport, V-Tour, 2023 Sunseeker, and 2024-2025 V-RV motorhomes, equipped with General Electric air conditioners with a soft start device with part number ICM870-16A-BH5400. The air conditioner soft start device may fail and overheat.

Consequence: An air conditioner soft start device that overheats increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the soft start, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 1, 2025. Owners may contact Encore, Mirada, Pursuit and Sportscoach customer service at 1-574-825-8212, Isata customer service at 574-262-3474, Georgetown, FR3, and Sunseeker customer service at 574-206-7600, Ahara and Entrada customer service at 574-264-6664, and V-Cruise, V-RV, V-Sport, and V-Tour customer service at 574-617-6408. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
