Recall history
3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
25V005000 · Equipment:Appliance:Oven/Stove/Cooktop
Reported: 2025-01-13 (January 13, 2025) · Model years: 2025
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 Shasta Oasis and Spirit travel trailers equipped with InVision Three Burner Cooktops. The aluminum burner tube may crack and cause a gas leak.
Consequence: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to use the cooktop until the remedy is completed. Dealers will replace the internal gas line, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 29, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-821-1311. Forest River's number for this recall is 53-1883.
NHTSA campaign record ↗25V610000 · Electrical System:Wiring
Reported: 2025-09-12 (September 12, 2025) · Model years: 2025, 2026
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Spirit and Shasta Oasis recreational trailers. The 30 AMP or 50 AMP inlet wire sheathing may be inconsistently stripped, causing electrical arcing.
Consequence: Electrical arcing increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will correct the 30 AMP and 50 AMP inlet wiring as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-0856. Forest River's number for this recall is 53-1974.
NHTSA campaign record ↗25V423000 · Equipment:Other:Labels
Reported: 2025-06-20 (June 20, 2025) · Model years: 2026
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026 Spirit travel trailers. The installed safety chains may not meet the actual Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) listed on the Federal Placard. This can cause the chains to fail, allowing the trailer to separate from the tow vehicle.
Consequence: Separation of the trailer and tow vehicle increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the safety chains, free of charge. All vehicles are still in dealer inventory and therefore no owner notification letters will be mailed. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8519. Forest River's number for this recall is 220-1941.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
