On 3 occasions while driving under 30 mph with no proximate vehicles my car suddenly began to intermittently brake and the dash flashed "collision warning". In two of them, I was able to pull over and turn off the car and restart--the problem did not repeat. In the third instance I kept driving (bucking along at 10 mph) and after about 50 yards the warning went away. The dealer ran a scan and cannot find an issue. They tell me they have to see it while it happens. The car may be at the dealer for months as they will be driving it to see if…

Airbags failed to deploy after pre-collision system did not activate nor did the emergency breaking activate. I struck a larger SUV while traveling ~35 mph broadside and there was no assistance from the vehicle safety features. It is unknown to me if any of the components have been adequately assessed since. I am concerned that the vehicle may be resold without proper inspection and has to potential to injure other parties in the future.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

I tried again and my vehicle still failed to accelerate. And on my third attempt, my vehicle decelerated and was about to completely stall. I managed to turn into a parking lot and avoid getting rear ended. However, this could have been a fatal event. While I was trying to accelerate, the vehicle was quiet as if the car wasn't even running. After shutting the engine off for aw…

while driving the vehicle, the driver's seat moves to the furthest position, away from the steering wheel and pedals. The memory position or forward/back control does not work consistently to put the seat in a more comfortable seating position. This is a random occurrence that can happen several times a day everyday or once or twice every other month. It is unsafe during taking off from a light, as the seat moves back I can barely reach the accelerator. During braking, it's harder to apply pressure to the brake pedal. Also, my mirrors are …

Day after purchasing gv70, upon starting vehicle, the brake pedal went all the way down to the floor. After taking foot off brake and reapplying foot pressure, the pedal responded accurately and I started the car. This occurred a second time and upon the 3rd time, I contacted the dealership. The third incident occurred with 4300 miles on it. First incident under 500 and second under 750

On XXX while driving at approximately 5mph in a parking lot my Genesis GV70 shifted from Drive to Park by itself causing the car and my wife and I to lurch forward and come to a stop! The car would not come out of Park and a warning came up after the fact saying to contact immediate service. My wife and I were in the car and there were no injuries. If this occurred at a higher rate of speed on a busy highway I cannot imagine what would have happened. I immediately called Genesis Road Assistance for a tow. The car was towed by flat bed to the d…

Without any warning, on March 15, 2026, I turned out of a parking lot onto a major road and I noticed it wouldn't accelerate above 20 mph, so I pulled off the road. I tried again and my vehicle still failed to accelerate. And on my third attempt, my vehicle decelerated and was about to completely stall. I managed to turn into a parking lot and avoid getting rear ended. However, this could have been a fatal event. While driving at 35mph on a straight section of road the warning sounded, the display said "steering wheel locked" and I could not turn the steering wheel for about 5 seconds, then it returned to normal operation. We bought the car new in July 2025. I found numerous posts on line describing similar or worse experiences. The dealership performed tests and could not determine a cause.
