Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

When it rains, within 24 hours, the windows do not automatically move down enough to open the door on command of pulling the door handle. This disallows the ability to close the door back if the door is open, barely underneath the lip of the sky panels. Because of this power loss, the mirrors do not open, the door locks do not work, and the windows do not work. To be able to re-close the doors, the sky panels must be removed and either left off or replaced. Essentially rain leaks into the body where wiring that controls door locks, door windows…

While driving on a public road, the vehicle suddenly shut down and rebooted itself. Motive power was lost during the event. This has happened at least a dozen times during normal driving, including while transporting a child. Video of an occurrence was recorded. The vehicle is a 2025 GMC Hummer EV with approximately 10,400 miles and has been in service about eight months. This creates a serious safety risk. A sudden loss of propulsion and system reboot while moving can leave the driver unable to maintain speed or control in traffic and increas…

My 2023 GMC Hummer EV 3X has experienced repeated thermal-protection failures in the high-voltage battery and drive-motor cooling system, causing the vehicle to enter limp mode and drop to as low as 12 mph without warning. Stored fault codes: P0C12, P0C13, P2EE0, P2EE1 (battery and drive-unit overheating). A sudden, unannounced drop to 12 mph in a 9,000-lb EV is a serious safety hazard , on highways it creates rear-end collision risk, in intersections it leaves the vehicle stranded in traffic, and on remote roads it can strand the driver with …

Car was stationary completely. Suddenly tons of warning lights flash on the dash board 'One pedal driving unavailable', 'Service ESC', 'Service trailer brake system', 'Service active steering system', '4wd unavailable', service driver assist system , 'Speed limited to 36 mph'. First time this happened was June 2023. Dealer was unable to find the source of the p…

The problem has been reported several times to the dealership and it was never fully resolved while under warranty. Each time I took the vehicle to the dealership for servicing with temporary adjustments…
