We purchased the 2025 GMC Yukon XL on February 26, 2025. While I was heading out on March 24, 2025 I had a total engine failure. No warning sign or warning lamps were present. We had the vehicle towed to Hurd Auto Mall in Johnston Rhode Island where we purchased it. We were told that the engine had seized with only 1,488 miles on it. We saw that over 870,000 GMC engines from 2021-2024 had this same issue and/or have been recalled. We are curious if the 2025 model also have this problem.

I was stuck in an active busy road. The car was towed to the dealer. They said it was a problem with the BCM. GMC had put out a bullletin which was to reprogram the BCM. The driver-side headlight and turn signal on my 2022 GMC Yukon stopped functioning completely. I was traveling on the highway and the vehicle started to jolt, sputter and speed acceleration was reduced in a highly congested area with little room to maneuver. I had to quickly shift lanes and get off at the first exit I could as I figure out what the issue was. I immediately contacted my Dealership and they were able to get me an emergency appointment so my vehicle could be inspected that day. After the Dealers analysis they said that a lifter needed to be replaced. I have a brand new vehicle with less than 8,611 miles on it. The lifter is…

I am filing this complaint regarding GM Recall N252494000 (NHTSA Campaign Number 25V274) for my 2024 GMC Yukon XL (VIN: [XXX] ). The issue involves a serious engine defect related to the crankshaft and/or connecting rods, which can result in catastrophic engine failure and loss of propulsion while driving, a clear and dangerous safety risk. I first became concerned when early reports of this issue began circulating publicly. As a father of young children, I became increasingly uneasy that my vehicle could potentially fail while in operation. Re…

I purchased this vehicle in May of 2025. It currently has 9840 miles on it. While driving in October the vehicle shut down and locked up. After getting it towed to a dealer I was told the diesel motor and the fuel system were blow and seized and need to be replace. The vehicle is still currently in North Carolina while I live in Virginia. Supposedly parts are in for repair for 3 weeks now and I still don't have my vehicle nor any info on when I will get back. Davenport GMC of Rocky Mount and GM have been rather useless in this process. I…

Service Box appears indicating - "Trailer Brake System" with a loud BING, BING, BING Alert sound. It continues every few minutes... Please note: we aren't using a trailer... I have googled/youtube it and found that this is an issue with many owners. They indicate that the wire harness in between two of the body control modules is defective. It is known to have faulty wire connection. This is intermittent, goes for months and stops for months, and then starts up again. Starting the vehicle, while driving slow or fast, it doesn't matter.
