Thank god it didn't happen while I was riding the practically new motorcycle I had less than 6 months. Something happened to the clutch cable in the transmission housing after a long group ride which could have resulted in a serious accident if it was in gear and in motion when it gave way. After a ride, I parked the motorcycle, then when ready to ride again I started the motor and grabbed the clutch lever only to have it freely move and not have any control over the clutch at all. Good thing I was not in motion or this would have created a ser…

I have 2 problems that I believe are situations that could be considered safety problems, I purchased my motorcycle in November of 2024, new, from the Harley Davidson dealership in Orlando FL. and since that time I have had the bike in the shop 5 times. The problems are that the rear brakes are not working correctly it takes a tremendous amount of pressure before they will begin to slow the bike down, I was told that this is normal and that the brakes should only be 30% effective, I have that in writing from the dealership, the second problem i…

The fork seals on the bike went bad at 5000 miles with no accident or damage to the bike. The oil inside of the fork tube is leaking onto the wheels and the brakes. The bike does not want to stop as fast. The front end of the bike dips upon a complete stop. Braking in general is compromised. If the bike does need to be stopped in an emergency the seal could blow, and dump oil all over the front of the bike, causing the bike to become near impossible to stop safely. The parts are not readily available, and an employee at Arsenal Harley Dav…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
