Recall history
5 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
21V179000 · Equipment:Appliance:Oven/Stove/Cooktop
Reported: 2021-03-16 (March 16, 2021) · Model years: 2019, 2020
Highland Ridge RV (Highland Ridge) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Open Range, Mesa Ridge, Highlander, Silverstar fifth wheels, and 2019-2020 Open Range, Mesa Ridge and Silverstar travel trailers equipped with Dometic 3 burner cooking stoves. The saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the O-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak.
Consequence: A gas leak can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Highland Ridge will notify owners, and dealers will install a remedy kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed on May 3, 2021. Owners may contact Highland Ridge customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Highland Ridge's number for this recall is 9904564.
NHTSA campaign record ↗20V338000 · Visibility:Glass, Side/Rear
Reported: 2020-06-09 (June 9, 2020) · Model years: 2020
Highland Ridge RV (Highland Ridge) is recalling certain 2020 Ridge, Open Range, and Silverstar recreational trailers. The adhesive bond between the glass and the metal hinge frame of the frameless crank out vent and egress windows may fail which would then allow the glass to detach and fall out.
Consequence: If the window glass detaches while the trailer is moving it could become a projectile, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Highland RV will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the frameless windows for proper adhesive bond strength, replacing the windows as necessary, free of charge. This recall began June 15, 2020. Owners may contact Highland RV customer service at 1-260-768-7771. Highland RV's number for this recall is 9901508.

The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.
Consequence: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 3, 2021. Owners may contact Highland customer service at 1-260-768-7771.

The electric retractable awning has a welded seam on the fabric that may separate, potentially allowing the awning to drop beyond normal operation.
Consequence: An awning that drops or extends beyond normal operation can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair, or if necessary, replace awning fabric, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 31, 2022. Owners may contact Highland Ridge's customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Highland Ridge's number for this recall is 9904578.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2022: 0 complaints · 2023: 0 complaints

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
