Owner report 11550267 · 2023-10-16 (October 16, 2023)

2023 and 2024 Hybrid Accord vehicles liberally activate brake lights while cruise control is active under even the slightest level of deceleration creating an appearance of a “brake check” when there is no brake check. A traditional car’s cruise control, for instance when set to 60MPH allows you to depress the accelerator, speed up to 65MPH to pass a vehicle, and then release the accelerator. The car then slows down naturally and begins controlling at 60MPH. The deceleration is gentle and the brakes are not applied and the brake lights do no…

Car has 4800 miles. I've owned since new (5 months). No issues prior to this. Stopped a stoplight. The gas engine stopped running, which is typical for a hybrid when not moving. After 15 seconds, every warning/error message started cycling on the driver's dashboard screen, referencing "brake system malfunction" among many other failures. Pressing the gas pedal and there was no forward movement. Brakes still worked. Put in park. Pressed "Start" to shut down car. It didn't fully shut down (dash still lit up). Pressed Start again, still many error…

Owner report 11556789 · 2023-11-25 (November 25, 2023)

After about twenty minutes of driving I start having sticking steering. Around 65-70mph it starts getting difficult to keep the car in a straight line as it drifts to the left or the right. It doesn't matter if lane keep/ lane departure is on or off. When I'm able to get the car to turn it jolts to one side or the other, and then I need to constantly correct the car. As snow and slippery conditions are just about here the chances of losing control is extremely enhanced. The car is in the dealership currently without the chance of being looked a…

Driving at highway speed with cruise control active, cruise turns off and car immediately feels like manual steering and accelerator harder to push. Warning lights displayed Adaptive Cruise, lane departure and brake system, See Dealer. Exited the highway and restarted the car. Lights went off. Taking to dealer via appointment. Dealer says they can't determine whether or not there could be danger of driving the vehicle and can't get the car in for more than a week, leaving me without transportation should something go wrong.

Owner report 11614769 · 2024-09-16 (September 16, 2024)

This is a hybrid vehicle with only 1100 miles on it. The engine start to stutter and violently shake when the gas engine turns on at low speed or idle. The car will have limited power during this time and the acceleration will be jerky. This is a safety concerns since this behavior can kick in randomly, because the car computer decides when the gas engine kicks in, which is unpredictable. I have done some research online with Honda owners and this issue is fairly common for new (2024 and 2025) Honda hybrid vehicles such as the CRV or Accord. …

I am filing a complaint regarding the lack of a remedy for the recall on my vehicle, 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid (VIN: [XXX] ). When my vehicle starts it misfires and causes the vehicle to go in limp mode disabling all safety features. No airbags or brakes etc . If these thousands of vehicles remain on the road it's not safe to drive. The vehicle stalls in the middle of roadways making it dangerous for everyone due to Honda bad quality control. Pulled onto a side road so as not to get hit from behind. Was able to roll to a stop and put on hazards. Called roadside assistance for a tow to dealer where bought. They have had for a week with no resolution.

While driving slow in a parking lot or parked any wheel movement causes a loud popping or clicking. Dealership diagnosed it as needing a new steering rack on a vehicle with 6000 miles. They should be added to the recall of the civic Integra and CRV‘s as apparently it has the same manufacturer or same problem in the steering rack. I feel very unsafe with my wife in this car, knowing the steering rack (pretty important) could fail at any time.

The steering rack has a defect. It has been replaced and the same problem is still ongoing. The gearbox has also been replaced but the problem is ongoing. The car makes loud noise when driving, turning the steering wheel, braking. I do not feel safe driving this car. I have had it for 1 year and it’s already been in service over 20 times. I’ve been having issues with this, 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. The lane assist is supposed to keep the steering wheel straight, and it does not, tue car merges to the right.

Purchased my car brand new. Within 1.5 years I've had to have 2 steering racks replaced and another component replaced within the steering column. Currently my lane keeping assist problem is on and I'm waiting to get appt confirmation from the service dept manager. My infotainment center went black and quit working and had to be replaced a little over a year after purchasing the car. The paint began peeling off my front bumper within 6 months of purchasing the car. I'm currently dealing with the Honda I purchased from to try to come to a r…

I started smelling gas getting in and out and near the car. I checked under the car when I first started smelling it and for maybe a couple more days before it had an appointment for PDR repair at body shop. I wasn’t seeing gas. I had night dropped the car at the body shop and when they smelled it they called and asked if they could take it to Honda of Lincoln for me. They said it was a puncture, denied warranty coverage (not a defect) and sent info to me to send to Honda Corporate who they told me to call - they wanted $5,000 to pull the engin…

I am filing a complaint regarding the lack of a remedy for the recall on my vehicle, 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid (VIN: [XXX] ). Per the NHTSA website, “due to improper production of the high-pressure fuel pump in the vehicle…a fuel leak can occur when the high-pressure fuel pump is in operation”. The safety risk of this issue is that “if a fuel leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source, the risk of a fire, crash, or injury are increased”. On 11/11/2024 while at an intersection with a redlight, I was the first car in the "merge to the right" short lane, stopped and waiting on right lane traffic on the road that intersected to clear. …
