25V723000 · Power Train:Clutch Assembly:Pedal/Hand Lever(Motorcycle)
Reported: 2025-10-23 (October 23, 2025) · Model years: 2025
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP Hornet SP motorcycles. The pivot bolt on the gearshift pedal may loosen and detach, resulting in the inability to shift gears. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, "Motorcycle Controls and Displays."
Consequence: The inability to shift gears while riding increases the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the pivot bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 1, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KT2. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 28, 2025.
NHTSA campaign record ↗25V892000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine:Hard Parts Internal/Mechanical
Reported: 2025-12-18 (December 18, 2025) · Model years: 2025
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP motorcycles. The pistons and piston rings may have been improperly manufactured, which can lead to rod bearing failure, possibly resulting in rear wheel lock up or oil leaking onto the rear tire.
Consequence: Rear wheel lockup increases the risk of a crash or injury. Engine oil that leaks onto hot exhaust components increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the engine assembly as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed February 9, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated December 30, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KT6. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 7, 2026.
NHTSA campaign record ↗26V194000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery:Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings
Reported: 2026-03-26 (March 26, 2026) · Model years: 2025
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP motorcycles. The fuel feed hose may disconnect from the fuel tank, causing a fuel leak.

Remedy: Dealers will secure the angle sensor coupler wiring harness and replace the fuel hose, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 20, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KU5. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 4, 2026.

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
