WHILE ON INTERSTATE I-95N ON 1/13/21 NOTICED A GRINDING NOISE THAT SEEMED TO ORIGINATE FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE CAR ONLY UNDER ACCELERATION. SEVERAL MINUTES LATER, ENGINE REVS SUDDENLY SKYROCKETED AND THE CAR LOST ALL ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. THIS WAS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS AND HARROWING SITUATION AS WE WERE TRAVELLING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (55-65MPH). ABLE TO "COAST" THE VEHICLE OVER 5 LANES TO THE HIGHWAY SHOULDER. THE NEXT WEEK MY WIFE AND I TRAVELED FROM OUR HOME IN WV TO VISIT A DAUGHTER IN MI. DRIVING ON I-70 THROUGH COLUMBUS I GOT CAUGHT IN HEAVY TRAFFIC; THE DRIVER AHEAD OF US DECELERATED QUICKLY AND I HAD TO JUMP ON MY BRAKE TO AVOID A COLLISION. On Friday, Dec 31, 2021 the car (2017 Honda HR-V), without any warning, suddenly stalled in the middle of our residential street. Prior to this incident, I did not experience any indications that there was a problem with the car. The car was towed to a local Honda service center and upon inspection by one of their technicians it was determined that the car had a "broken flywheel" (the car is an automatic so this is not the correct term). Once repairs began I was contacted and informed that the broken flywheel had caused additional damage and…

The sun visor (Driver side) has become difficult to operate. Also, the sun visor does not close flush to the cabin roof. The sun visor is not operating as it should. I reached out to Honda but since there is no recall and this repair is outside of the warranty period, they will not make the repair at their cost. I do not want to purchase a new visor if Honda has not acknowledged the problem and made changes.

I woke up MLK day to find that my side left mirror had cracked, from top to the middle of the mirror, just a straight line. There was no damage to the rest of the car, no indication of anything hitting the mirror, just a clean crack, eventually the crack when through the whole mirror. I then reported to my honda dealership who then told me the side mirror is on back order which is causing a safety issue because it is challenging to drive when a mirror split it half, it throws off what I am looking at as I am driving There was no warning of an…

Then in June and another rock hit my windshield, which caused another crack, and that windshield was replaced again on August 6, 2025. I own a 2017 Honda HR-V with White Orchid Pearl paint (NH-788P) that has experienced significant paint peeling and flaking on the roof, hood, and upper panels despite normal care. This appears to be a known manufacturing defect affecting many vehicles with this paint code. **Honda Motor Company acknowledged the issue in Service Bulletin A19-064 and extended the warranty for paint failure, but Honda refused assistance because my vehicle is slightly outside the warranty period. The defect significantly impacts the vehicle’s appearance, value, and…
