The handlebars and front suspension develop a wobble at approximately 40 mph on up through 50 mph. Above 50 I believe the vibrations are happening so fast it feels a little smoother. However, with the throttle closed and deacceleration down through 50 through 30 mph the handlebars developed a significant death wobble. If you lighten or relax your grip on the handlebars, it is visibly shaking back to forth and is quite alarming. The Honda motor motorcycle dealer is unable to diagnose.

THE FUEL PETCOCK (FUEL CONTROL VALVE) DIAPHRAGM IS LEAKING ON A HOT ENGINE. HONDA HAS A RECALL FOR THIS PART IN THE 2007 AND 2008 BUT NOT FOR THE 2005 MODEL YEAR. THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE AS FUEL IS LEAKING ON A HOT ENGINE! I HAVE CALLED HONDA AND THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I SPOKE WITH TWO SEPARATE GENTLEMEN AT [phone removed] WITHOUT LUCK. *TR

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
