They were simply not working. After driving for around 5-10 minutes, my steering gradually became very heavy making it difficult to steer. I had to pull over to the side eventually. I was driving on the highway, got a flat tire. The second my tire popped. I started getting a few lights on my dashboard abs, forward safety light, limited differential light, blind spot light, rear cross traffic light. Worst of them all is a red steering wheel light which makes the vehicle difficult to steer. This is a new car with under 20k miles and it’s a lease. After the tire was replaced the lights are still on and the car is still non drivable.

This problem occurred in my previous vehicle which was a 2022 Hyundai Kona N. I took it through a car wash and had a check engine light turn on. In Elantra N, the plastic piece (splash guard) under the engine is prone to coming loose and/or coming off while driving. This has happened to me and many many others. Its poorly manufactured, and fasteners (push pins) are really cheap. Part # should be 29110-IB000 The warranty doesn't cover this. This reddit thread has many people reporting same issue. Still there's no recall or TSB: [XXX] People are saying stuff like: "I was driving and the undercarriage guard just fell off. I ended up having to rip broken pieces off and zip tie the re…

On January 10, 2026, I purchased a brand new 2025 Hyundai Elantra N with manual transmission. At approximately 517 miles, the vehicle experienced complete clutch and transmission failure and was towed to the selling dealership. The dealership diagnosed the failure and presented a repair estimate of $6,222.96, classifying it as "customer pay/user error" and denying warranty coverage. Parts identified for replacement included the clutch cover assembly and flywheel assembly. I did not authorize any repair. I escalated to Hyundai Motor America corp…

Throw out bearing leak, resulting in excessive loss of brake fluid and potential for reduced braking ability. Low brake fluid warning light illuminated and was reported to Suburban Hyundai of Troy around 6,000 miles and again around 10,000 miles. Dealer confirmed leak was occurring at throw out bearing, and impacted clutch friction material as well, which could result in a potential inability to accelerate depending on fluid accumulation on clutch. Upon confirmation, dealer replaced throw out bearing, clutch, and perfomed brake fluid flush.

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
