Batteries in the brand new 2026 Hyundai Palisade are failing by dying unexpectedly with under 500 miles on the vehicle. I have documented over 20 instances with new owners online. This is a safety concern because it can leave people stranded in cold weather. It appears to be an issue with the digital key. I contacted Hyundai and they are not concerned. They just test the battery and say they can't find anything wrong.

This issue has occurred multiple times within the first 60 days of ownership and the vehicle has been taken to a Hyundai dealership twice. THE SEATBELT BUCKLES FOR THE CAPTAINS CHAIRS ARE RECESSED INTO THE BODY OF THE SEAT. THIS MAKES IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR BOTH ADULTS AND CHILDREN TO BUCKLE UP. THE BUCKLES ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO USE WITH BOOSTER CHAIRS WHITEOUT SOME AFTER MARKET MODIFICATION (NOT SAFE).*DT Consumer stated buckles are recessed into the seat bottom and latch is angled inwards towards the seat making it even trickier to get to. The angles isn't helping with latching. Silicone and foam building block is used to hold buckle in place.

Our vehicle has captain seats in the middle row. The seat buckles are so far recessed it's ALWAYS difficult to buckle, especially when using car seats or boosters. Our children, nearly 9 and 7 years old who had no difficulties buckling before, are unable to buckle themselves with their boosters now. Additionally, and even more concerning, is that the seat belt will "click" as if it's been buckled but come unbuckled partially through the drive. Rear differential failed and locked up at speed. No vehicles were behind at the time of the incident but could have easily caused a collision since the break lights weren't activated. I purchased this vehicle on 9/17 and since day 1 the infotainment system will not turn on when starting the car. It has a digital instrument display and infotainment which control 90% of the vehicle functions. I have opened a case with Hyundai # 20328505 who took 2 weeks t call me and had no resolution other than to let the dealer handle it. I have been to the dealer 3 times now and they can't figure out what the issue is. This is a major safety issue if I can't tell how fast I'm going and or the safety functions don't work.

I went to start the car and it was totally dead. It is used 7 days a week and driven back and forth to work 5 days a week. There was no warning and nothing was left on, just dead. I took the car to the dealer yesterday and they did an electrial system analysis and only found the battery had a slight discharge. Which is frustrating because I don't know when or where this could happen again. The dealer charged the battery and it seems ok at this point.

I am reporting a safety concern following an over-the-air (OTA) recall update (Hyundai Recall #296) on my 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy AWD (software version 263Q.LX3.USA.ccNC.[phone removed]26). I understand this recall was issued in response to a fatal incident involving the second-row seat system, which is why this issue is especially concerning. My vehicle is subject to Manufacturer Recall 297/NHTSA Recall 26V169. My dashboard is indicating that the third row driver seat is buckled when it is not. Also, when the seat belt is actually buckled, it will sometimes indicate that it is not. This is a safety issue as I cannot tell whether the seat belt is actually buckled or not. Additionally, the seat will not fold because it thinks a person is sitting in the seat. I have taken my vehicle for to Great Lakes Hyundai of Dublin twice (May 6 and April 16th) to complete the recall. Both t…

Adaptive cruise control controls the speed limit based on Maps or actual signs was making an error! I was in a 60 MPH area when the system would read the route number sign and mistake it for speed limit. This happened both on state route 80, and state route 70, the car would accelerate up to that speed indicated by the route sign for a few seconds and then realize somehow it was in error and drop down to legal speed. Its a surprise for the driver.

I am reporting that Hyundai’s Recall 296 remedy appears inadequate and that Hyundai closed the recall on my vehicle even though the underlying rear-seat safety hazard remained unresolved. My complaint involves the second- and third-row powered seat system, including the fold/stow and walk-in functions. My core safety complaint is that the second-row seat continued to move under powered operation despite resistance from a properly installed child seat using LATCH. I also reported that the third-row seat could still collapse under powered operat…

I have been continuously receiving check engine notifications that show the engine cylinders misfiring. This seems to only happen at highway speeds which could cause a safety hazard should the driver need to accelerate for merging/passing/etc. I have brought this issue into the dealership once so far and they said they couldn't do anything since they were unable to replicate the issue while driving it. From what I've seen online, many other owners of this vehicle are having similar problems with the same responses from their local dealerships.
