I SHOULD START BY STATING THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE SINCE I GOT IT LAST YEAR. AT RANDOM TIMES, WHILE DRIVING, MY VEHICLE WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO GO ABOVE 2500K RPMS, EVEN WITH THE GAS PEDAL FULLY DEPRESSED. Shortly after driving an additional 10 miles, the vehicle’s screen malfunctioned, displaying burn-in and becoming non-functional. I experienced sudden unintended acceleration which propelled me over a curb, up an embankment, over a boulder and into a fence. I could have been killed or I could have killed others because I had no control of the car. The Hyundai corporation will not acknowledge this. The car was inspected and declared a total loss and is being moved to a location where it can be stored at no cost. There was no warning. Also this exact incident occurred with a Hyundai Kona I owned. That incident occurred on January 8, 2026.

TRANSMISSION DOES NOT CONSISTENTLY SHIFT THROUGH GEARS. UNDER ACCELERATION, IT WILL SOMETIMES SHIFT FROM 1-2- NEUTRAL INSTEAD OF GOING INTO 3RD GEAR. IF YOU DEACCELRATE AND THEN TRY TO ACELERATE AS WHEN COMING TO A TURN, THE CAR HAS EXTREME HESITATION AND SOMETIME WILL JUST REV TO 3,000RPM WITHOUT ANY MOVEMENT...AGAIN LIKE IT IS IN NEUTRAL. My car has paint chipping away in several areas. In my opinion, there is an issue with the type of paint used on my car. I am so hurt that I had to spend all this money on a new vehicle and when it was almost paid off, the paint was coming off. It is no fault of mine because there are toooo many areas all over the vehicle where there are chip areas forming. The biggest, most noticeable area01 is on my hood.

The oil sensor doesn't illuminate the light on the dash when the oil level becomes low. The only warning is when it becomes really low and then the check engine light will appear. It's a safety concern due to the engine possible failure and or damage may occur at that point if continuing driving happens. This causing the engine to stall and loss of control of the vehicle. Which could lead to a vehicle crash resulting in injury or death to the occupants and or others nearby.

My specific Tucson is equipped with 1.6L Turbo and a 7 speed Dual-Clutch Transmission. I see there are recalls for the 2016 models equipped with the same transmissions, so I'm concerned as to why there hasn't been a recall for the newer models. My transmission was replaced by Hyundai when the car only had approximately 15,000 miles (give or take) and now at 73,000 miles, I'm experiencing the same issue again! The oil consumption issue has begun. At about 75k miles, my 2018 Hyundai Tucson 1.6L Turbo is burning oil at an insane rate. And there is no indicator of it occurring (no codes or anything on the dash) until it's too late. Hyundai is now WELL KNOWN, and aware, for this problem and it is a catastrophic safety issue because of the possibility of the engine seizing and disabling the vehicle. It isn't negligence on the consumers part either, especially when timely and consistent oil changes are being done. *NOTE* My vehicle has had the transmissio…

Approximately one month ago I had a high pressure fuel pump installed in my 2018 Hyundai Tucson. While driving on the highway, about ten minutes from home, my car suddenly burst into flames. There were no warning lights in the cockpit. There was no smoke in the cabin. Another motorist flagged me down. I got out of the vehicle just in time for it to become fully engulfed in flame. It burned down on the highway. Police and fire responded. Insurance is investigating. If I was inside the vehicle, I would have certainly died.

The engine failed completely while the vehicle was being driven to a mechanic for evaluation. The vehicle experienced sudde…
